Rapid7 is helping organizations around the globe advance securely. Our technology, services, and community-focused research simplify complexity for security teams, helping them reduce vulnerabilities, monitor for malicious behavior, investigate and shut down attacks, and automate routine tasks. With more than 8,000 customers across 120 countries, Rapid7 is a recognized leader in cybersecurity that has proudly earned numerous industry accolades and strong recognition for our disruptive technology and incredible company culture.

As Rapid7 embarks on 2020, there are a host of initiatives in planning that will affect the organization. They vary from major transformation initiatives designed to shift the business into our next evolution, to tactical programs that are intended to provide near-term business agility. The Business Architecture Analyst supports these initiatives by:

  • Building a business architecture: Create and maintain the business architecture knowledge base and connecting it to domains outside of business architecture (e.g. customer journeys, system applications)

  • Translating strategy to business capabilities: Evaluate a variety of business scenarios to assess areas for improvement and changes necessary to carry out strategy or reshape the business

  • Managing the practice: Formalize and maintain a governance structure by creating and maintaining a set of tools, templates, training

Change at any level requires a degree of impact analysis, planning, communication, emotional intelligence, and complex collaboration across the organization. With the degree of change we expect to manage, we are looking for a Business Process Analyst with the ability to:

  • Navigate and excel in an environment with a high degree of change

  • Be a self-starter who can confidently deliver on goals while living in the grey

  • Identify areas that are weak in scalability and create paths for scale

  • Collaborate and team on various projects

  • Seek and consume feedback continuously

  • Influence without authority to achieve common goals

And execute in the following areas:

Business Analysis:

  • Lead business design activities independently, and execute key deliverables from start to finish

  • Develop deep working knowledge of Go-To-Market and Go-To-Market adjacent processes, and their impact on customer experiences

  • Identify and profile impacted and influencer stakeholder groups, and determine what level of involvement and communication is required and at what level

  • Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts to identify policy and process impacts, in order to document change readiness and facilitate planning activities

  • Support the wider business to ensure that the potential impact on structures, roles, responsibilities and competencies within functional areas are identified and aligned with the future model of operation

  • Baseline processes, and continuously measure the impact of change initiatives within the business

Governance & Documentation:

  • Continuously review, document, and communicate any changes to internal policy, processes and workflows

  • Create and maintain standardized templates and tools for process documentation

  • Support an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and process control is in place across programs

Change Management & Stakeholder Support:

  • Provide change support to project managers including training, awareness and adoption

  • Seek and collaborate on creative and effective approaches for the delivery of change management to affected user groups

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly, concisely and confidently at all organizational levels and impacted stakeholders

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Influence program priorities based on key data points, knowledge of business capabilities, etc

  • Lead, collaborate and mentor Associate Strategic Programs Analysts on key program deliverables

We expect you will bring:

  • 3-5+ years of business analysis experience at a SaaS company or consulting role

  • Competency in delivering business analysis documentation with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent requirements gathering, business process design, process mapping, and process modelling skills

  • Experience with Agile Methodology, Salesforce CRM & CPQ (technical experience a plus)

  • Demonstrated ability to execute on multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Top-notch written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP

  • Experience with pricing and packaging initiatives

  • Undergraduate degree required

Employee Testimonials

James Green
Director of Engineering, Engineering, Software Development

"My favorite memory of being a 'Moose' is our first ever company-wide hackathon in Cambridge. After a fun–filled week for the company kick-off, we still managed to deliver, through the night, on some amazing ideas."

Brett Garofalo
Manager, Mid-Market Sales

"I am not a natural–born salesperson or leader. Rapid7 gave me the mentorship opportunities and leeway to develop those skillsets. Having the support of my management allowed me to take risks and learn from mistakes instead of being tentative and afraid to put myself out there."

"It's pretty cool to look around the room and know that I played a part in making all of that happen, and that I hopefully helped those people move into a role that they find really rewarding and exciting. Especially in a company where they in turn can have a big impact and take their careers to the next level. The fact that they are all good people, and that we all manage to have a bit of fun in the process, helps too."
