About the role:

In this position, you will be the individual responsible for taking leads from our lead generation team and taking the initial steps to get them into the sales funnel. You will call prospects from inbound and other leads and set meetings and actually close deals.

This is the ideal role for individuals who want to continue to hone their sales skills and become a more complete sales person. You'll dive deep into the world of data analytics and storage and gain a better understand of how smart companies manage their data.

As you develop your sales skills and product knowledge, you'll be able to grow into a number of roles here at Vertica.

Background Required:

  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 2+ years of experience in a sales, lead qualification or business development role.
  • Strong phone skills and phone presence.
  • Plenty of confidence.
  • Fearlessness in calling into companies.
  • Ability to grasp a technical subject and converse with business/technical leaders about it.
  • Strong sense of discipline and willingness to persevere through difficulties.
