Job Introduction:

Corporate Finance Technology is seeking an Associate Configuration Engineer to join our Global Finance Technology team.

The role will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your technical, analytical and business skills. You will play an active role throughout the project lifecycle (e.g. solution analysis and development, programming, configuration, testing) while working on technology implementation projects to expand our current Finance footprint with various Financial Applications, including Planning, Budgeting and Reporting tools such at PowerBI, Cognos and Tableau.

About the job:

Leads and consults on the following highly complex activities:

  • Day to day Functional support for Financial Applications

  • Supports data integrations and model building
  • Troubleshoots application performance issues

  • Participates in solution design activities

Desired skills:
  • General knowledge in new and emerging technologies.

  • Negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills.

  • General knowledge of the following:

  • IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.

  • IT architectures and technical standards.

  • General knowledge of a business function(s) and business operations.

  • Design and development tools.

  • General knowledge of layered systems architectures.

  • General understanding of shared software concepts.

  • General knowledge of architectures and technical standards.

  • General knowledge of agile software development concepts and processes

  • Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker.

  • Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.

  • Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery.

  • Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.

Responsibilities:
  • Helps identify possible process improvements that address functional and package technology gaps within a single business process of low to moderate complexity.

  • Builds general knowledge of technology enablers.

  • Analyzes and prepare low to moderately complex technology enabled recommendations to address gaps within a single business process.

  • Develops low to moderate complex test scripts.

  • Identifies and researches low to moderate testing defects.

  • Works to ensure converted data accuracy.

  • Uses testing tools successfully for components within a single module or business process within a mixed team
