Position Overview
The Quickbase legal department is looking for a lawyer to join its 3-person legal team to provide legal support to a fast growing B2B SaaS business. You will be integral in providing legal support to the sales team in meeting its sales goals. Additionally, you will provide contract review and legal support for other areas of the business, including product, security, marketing, security, and HR. Reporting to our General Counsel, you will operate with limited supervision, and utilize your high level of reasoned judgement and ability to discern and establish priorities independently. Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft MSAs, NDAs, amendments, and other sales agreements
- Negotiate and draft ancillary documents including BAAs and DPAs
- Counsel and support go-to-market teams in closing new business, expansions, and renewals
- Review, edit and negotiate vendor agreements and other commercial contracts required for the business
- Provide counsel to the business on legal issues as they arise, including in connection with new features, products, and laws
- Partner with other departments to mitigate legal risks while moving the business forward
- Assist in the development and implementation of templates, trainings, playbooks, policies, and processes, including around security and privacy compliance
Qualifications
- Admitted to practice in Massachusetts
- 6 years of prior in-house experience negotiating enterprise SaaS contracts and supporting an enterprise sales team
- Excellent negotiating and contract drafting skills, including experience negotiating customer drafted forms
- Effectively and efficiently manage multiple priorities, including managing multiple enterprise contract negotiations
- Dedication to finding a way to get to yes quickly while protecting the companys interests
- Strong business acumen, curiosity and delivery-oriented attitude
- Privacy, international or government contracting experience a plus
