141 Portland St, 6th Floor
Cambridge, MA 02139

Who We Are

Media Client Infrastructure is a team of mobile, web, and video engineers that owns the client-side technology infrastructure that powers Twitter’s media experiences. We’re a small, engineering-driven team that values autonomy and flexibility, and are always looking for ways to improve how we work. Video is a very important part of Twitter’s business, so we value rigor and correctness over speed, and carefully measure the impact of any significant change we make. Our core product is the Twitter Video Player library, which is used by internal product engineering teams to build on media-rich experiences for hundreds of millions of users.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement major components of the Android Video Player library.
  • Work on a wide range of problems, from new video playback functionality for an upcoming product offering, to low-level performance optimizations that improve the speed of video playback for our users.
  • Use the latest technology in the world of Android e.g. Kotlin, RxJava, Dagger.
  • Take an active role in team processes and product decisions. From using data and customer insight to help shape our roadmap, to end-to-end ownership of new functionality, you’ll do more than just write code.
  • Be an excellent teammate. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels like they can succeed, and expect you to help maintain that.

  • You have B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
  • You have 2+ years of Android development experience, and ideally have worked on large mobile applications.
