As a key member of the Accounting & Finance team, the Accounting Manager directly oversees the monthly close of the general ledger, preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting documentation performed by the accounting team. The Corporate Accounting Manager responsibilities and requirements are listed below:
What will you own?

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger

Prepare, review, and analyze consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

Ensure GL accounts are properly supported and reconciled monthly

Prepare daily, weekly, monthly KPI tracking, reporting and analytics
-
Oversee and manage domestic and international payroll process
-
Maintain the company's system of accounts and records on all company transactions and assets
-
Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
-
Support compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate taxes and regulations
-
Manage consolidation of company entities, Including eliminations and recording of investments in
subsidiaries

Support the coordination of audit and the gathering of required audit information
-
Help with quarterly & year-end financial audit activities and the corporate financial controls audit
-
Direct daily activities of team members, monitor deadlines and provide support and coaching
-
Prepare reporting package which includes income statements, balance sheet, and cash flows
-
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining
strong employee relationships

Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

What you have:

7-8+ years of financial accounting in a corporate environment at a public company

3+ years in a leadership role
-
Bachelor of accounting, finance or related field. CPA preferred

Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
-
Accounting for foreign currencies

MS Office Suite user, particularly Excel (formulas, functions, macros, queries, pivot tables)

SAGE X3 Financials a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization

Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results

Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
