Job Description
What we need
As the Benefits & Leave Specialist you will be delivering high-quality employee support and operational execution within the HR Operations team. This is a newly created role, and you will contribute to building and optimizing processes, documenting standard operating procedures, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. You will be responsible for administering employee benefits and leave programs, in partnership with our 3rd party LOA administrator, providing support, and ensuring efficient, compliant, and employee-centered service experience. This role partners cross-functionally with the Benefits Manager and with external vendors to deliver seamless employee experience.
What we do
The HR Operations team is part of the Human Resources organization. The Human Resources organization is responsible for recruitment, administration, compensation, benefits, training & development, performance management and employee relations.
What you’ll do

Administer leave of absence requests with our LOA partner, TILT in compliance with laws and company policies.

Benefits administration, including escalation support of employee inquiries, enrollment maintenance and invoice auditing, life events, and vendor coordination.

Support ADA accommodation requests with our partner Disclo, and ensure a compliant, seamless process.

Resolve benefit and leave issues, escalating complex or sensitive cases as appropriate.

Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on leave and benefits processes, documentation, and return-to-work coordination.

Communicate timely updates to employees, managers, HR, and Payroll on leave status and related impacts (pay, benefits, employment status).

Support open enrollment activities, life event changes, and ongoing eligibility maintenance.

Collaborate with Payroll, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end processes.

Monitor leave and benefits regulations to ensure compliance in policies and systems.

Maintain accurate leave and benefits records across HR systems.

Maintain and enhance process documentation to drive consistency and operational efficiency.
What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration, leave administration, or HR operations

Strong knowledge of FMLA and state-specific leave and benefits regulations

Experience with leave and/or benefits administration platforms and HRIS/case management systems

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), including data tracking and reporting

Hybrid role based in Wilmington, MA. (3 days a week)
Our Environment

Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
