The Role:

As a Data Analyst at Jana, you will work closely with our product and engineering teams to shape product decisions using data. You will help define the top line metrics, measure the impact of various product features, and explore our rich and massive dataset to inform what we build next. As part of the data science team at Jana, you will have access to resources and mentorship to expand your skillset and grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product and engineering teams to make data-informed product decisions
  • Design and interpret product experiments
  • Explore user behavior and long term trends to identify product opportunities
  • Communicate insights and data-informed recommendations across the company

Requirements:

  • Experience in SQL or another language for data analysis (e.g. Python, R, SAS)
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex subjects
  • Understanding of basic statistical methods (e.g., power analysis, linear regression)
  • BS/BA in a technical field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or economics

Role

Jana’s growth team works with designers, marketing strategists, and in-market growth hackers to build our audience across the globe.  We’re looking for a seasoned product manager to join us and build the in-product growth channels, user on-boarding, and fraud protections that will enable us to grow within our existing markets as well as continue expanding mCent Browser to new countries around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, sales, design,  and data analytics to ideate, develop, and launch new user-facing features and internal tools
  • Use qualitative insights (including research trips to our markets) and data analysis to identify new in-product growth features and enhance the user onboarding process
  • Participate in shaping Jana’s long-term growth and market expansion strategy
  • Determine and prioritize technical and data reporting requirements for integration with partners / internal systems and internal tools
  • Develop tools and strategies to combat user acquisition fraud

Required Experience:

  • 3-5+ years product management experience, prior consumer mobile app required
  • Knowledge of app install attribution partner (e.g., Tune, Appsflyer) integrations and management
  • Strong eye for UX and ability to empathize with users across varying geographies and cultures
  • Ability to balance intuition and insights by quickly developing hypothesis and then executing analyses to drive direction
  • Ability to travel to emerging markets for 1-2 weeks per quarter

Useful Experience:

  • Understanding of mobile app user acquisition including Facebook, OEM, and other B2C growth marketing channels (including offline campaigns)
  • Working knowledge of the tenets of response marketing

The Role:

As a Consumer Marketing Designer at Jana, you will work closely with our growth, product design and product development teams to understand the mCent Browser features and benefits to users. You will be responsible for communicating those benefits to consumers through digital ad creative served across ad networks, social channels like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more. Effectiveness will be measured by the ability to drive users at an efficient cost (CPI, CPA, etc.) defined by the head of User Acquisition. As part of the Growth team at Jana, you will have access to resources and mentorship to expand your skillset and grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to create visual designs across a wide range of assets (including native ad units, social tiles, landing pages, Online Display Advertising (Print on occasion)) that push the brand, evolve design guidelines and engage the consumer.
  • Work closely with the market manager to develop creative strategies, concepts and units.
  • Maintain brand consistency while working within established design guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of art degree, preferably in marketing and design or comparable work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign.
  • Ability to produce and deliver high-quality materials within tight deadlines.
  • Experience designing for Facebook/social campaigns
  • Experience designing for digital advertising
  • Video production experience is a plus.

We're building a world class web browser and looking for someone to help us make it perfect.  You should be motivated by building great user experiences and are not shy about applying the polish and tweaks that really make things pop.You also enjoy promoting engineering best practices, and coaching your teammates, while also learning new things from their experiences.

As an Android developer at Jana, you'll work on our fork of the Chromium open-source codebase using Android Studio and an assortment of popular Android tools. Most of our engineers prefer to work full stack so they own their features end-to-end. Our supporting APIs are written in Python 2.7 using Cassandra for persistent storage.

Responsibilities

  • Join and contribute to a team working in an agile environment, where rapid learning, iteration, and continuous delivery are a big part of our system.

  • Build world-class consumer app experiences for our Android app, mCent Browser. This is a hands on role, spending 75-90% of the time writing or reviewing code through GitHub pull requests.

  • Work with team leads and product managers to prioritize roadmaps, groom backlogs, design experiments (A/B and split tests), run experiments, and analyze them for results.

  • Mentor engineers on the team, while encouraging and spreading the adoption of best practices, technologies, and patterns to the broader engineering team.

Jana is looking for an experienced lead engineer for our new audience segmentation and monetization team. This individual is a hands on software engineer with a strong interest in using data to drive product features that improve the UX for our users. The team is a mix of software engineers and data scientists working together to identify opportunities for personalizing the user experience while increasing their lifetime value.
 

The APIs that support our browser are written in Python 2.7, our data infrastructure uses Kafka, Spark, and Snowflake (Data Warehouse), all deployed on AWS. While we don’t expect this role to do much Android UI work, the individual would be comfortable writing client side Java code to support their features.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in an agile environment, where rapid learning, iteration, and continuous delivery are a big part of our system.

  • Architect, design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable data pipelines and APIs. This is a hands on role, spending 50-75% of the time writing or reviewing code through GitHub pull requests.

  • Work with product managers to prioritize roadmaps, groom backlogs, design experiments (A/B and split tests), run experiments, and analyze them for results.

  • Directly manage and mentor the engineers on the team, while encouraging and spreading the adoption of best practices, technologies, and patterns to the broader engineering team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years software engineering experience.

  • Experience leading engineering teams, with a track record of working collaboratively with teammates to deliver results.
