There are many factors that play into one's choice when deciding on what company is the right fit for them, so we decided to dive deep into why Workhuman is a great place to work by asking their team members the question "Why did you join Workhuman, and what were the major factors for you?"
Simone Groper, Public Relations Sr. Specialist
Before hearing about the opening for a Senior PR Specialist at Workhuman, I was feeling a bit lost in my career and even felt like I might want to make a switch into People Operations from PR. I’ve always felt strongly about the importance of bringing our whole selves to work and formally recognizing colleagues for the work we do. It’s truly critical to driving strong business results, which the corporate world is only just beginning to realize. Culture is so important to a company and I wanted to be a part of shaping it and the human workplace. With Workhuman I found the best of both worlds – I get to share stories around the power of social recognition and gratitude in the workplace while leveraging the skills I’ve developed over the course of my career in PR. I’ve been here for almost 4 months now and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
Susana Levy, Customer Success Manager
After spending years working in different roles and organizations, I couldn’t quite find a role that truly made me feel like I was making a difference which is what I have always strived to do. I have always had a passion for Customer experience and during my tenures in previous roles, I soon realized how important the term “experience” rang true for employees also. Whilst researching, Workhuman really stood out to me in being an organization that focused on just that! Ensuring that employees across the globe are recognized and feel included in the jobs they do. I am truly moved by the connections that we make with our clients and the passion that both we here at Workhuman and clients that I speak to have to ensure employees feel a real sense of inclusion and are happy within their roles. After all, who wouldn’t want to say that they LOVE their job! Here at Workhuman, I am fortunate to say “I can!”
Nick Eng, Launch Success Manager
From my research, I felt that Workhuman was the place for me based on my interest in HR and passion for helping customers achieve their goals. After working in the healthcare technology space for a long time, I was excited to dive into a different industry. As I went through the interview process, it quickly became apparent how much Workhuman was actually invested in me as a person and as a potential employee. It was made clear to me that they appreciated my background, and they clearly expressed to me how I would fit at Workhuman. Workhuman presented me with an opportunity to challenge myself professionally while feeling like I found a positive workplace that puts humans first.
Peter Swan, Recruitment Partner
Not only has Workhuman been consistently ranked as one of the best places to work for, but our mission of bringing humanity to companies of differing sizes and truly building out a more human connection, instantly stuck with me. Upon interviewing with the company, I knew this was the place I wanted to be. The people I met with were extremely authentic and genuine, the product we offer is truly innovative and all encompassing, and the idea of bringing your whole self to work really resonated. I walked out of my first interview knowing this was where I wanted to be. I joined right before we went remote due to the pandemic, and the support, check ins, and communication from leadership all solidified my decision to join.
Stuart Curtis, Senior Director, Global Talent Development
When I was studying a master's degree in HR management, my area of focus was performance management. As part of my research, I discovered some whitepapers by a company called Globoforce (now Workhuman) outlining a different approach to performance management, one that leveraged recognition and continuous feedback from across the organization. I started following them on social media and knew I wanted to join. I felt a strong connection to how Workhuman advocated for the ‘human’ first, saw employees as more than a ‘resource’, and advocated for respect – for respect for customers, urgency, teamwork, and respect for all. When an opportunity to join the talent development team became available I was ‘all in’. I joined in March 2020 and have felt supported, developed, challenged, excited, and genuinely happy every day since.
