Ira leads project management, sales and support at HighRes. Ira personally ensures every customer and every project receives a high level of attention and support.
Prior to joining HighRes, Ira was Director of Research and Development at Freedom Sciences, where he developed innovative robotic hardware for people with limited mobility. Before that he was at Merck for six years, where he led many successful projects for various screening groups at Merck, including the integration of systems capable of screening 1 million samples in less than a week, the development of an enterprise data warehouse for capturing and reporting screening results, the development of analytical approaches for combining screening results with chemical structure, and the implementation of real-time, automated quality control monitoring of screening processes. Ira graduated with a BS in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Vermont, and an MS in Computer Science from Villanova University.
Vice President of Software
With HighRes since its founding, Vlad leads the development and support of the company’s industry-leading software products.
Prior to his position with HighRes, Vladimir was at Enabling Technologies where he led software development and commissioning of robotic systems for research. Vladimir has 20 years experience leading various automation and software efforts within the pharmaceutical industry. He holds a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy in Russia.
Vice President of Finance
Matt joined HighRes in 2010 as Director of Finance. Matt has 20 years of accounting and financial management experience serving in senior roles in high technology companies ranging from development stage to $2 billion in annual revenue.
Prior to joining HighRes, Matt was Director of Finance at Kalido Inc., a venture capital-backed provider of data governance software with operations in Burlington, MA, London, England and Bangalore, India. Matt also held positions at Andrew Corporation, Arbortext Inc and PictureTel Corporation. Matt holds a BS in Finance from Providence College in Providence, RI.
Vice President of Engineering
Ulysses joined HighRes in 2015. He has responsibility for leading engineering and product development. He has more than twenty years of experience in the development of precision robotics and automated systems for use in high throughput high reliability applications.
Prior to joining HighRes, Ulysses spent the last 19 years at Brooks Automation where he was Vice President of Robotics Engineering and was responsible for product and technology development for the companies leading robotics platforms. He also spent time as a research engineer at MIT’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory developing humanoid robots. He holds more than 25 patents in the areas of robotics and automation. Ulysses has both BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Brian joined HighRes in March 2014. Brian’s focus is to build a dynamic global Sales and Marketing organization for HighRes Biosolutions
Brian joined HighRes after six years at Agilent Technologies where he held global business development leadership roles within the company’s Research Products and Automation business divisions. Prior to Agilent, Brian played an instrumental role in developing the business and the global account management program at Velocity11. He graduated with a BS in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Director of Applications
Jack joined HighRes in 2008. Jack has recently established a new Applications department with responsibility to provide company-wide technical support for pre- and post-sales deployment of HighRes’ integrated robotic systems and lab instruments. Jack also holds the overall management responsibility for HighRes’ European division as part of its continuing expansion into the UK and mainland Europe.
Jack joined HighRes after five years at AstraZeneca where he worked as a Research Scientist responsible for laboratory automation and assay development. Jack graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and Genetics from The University of Nottingham.
Customer Support Director
Darren joined HighRes in 2010 as Customer Support Director. With 17 years of experience in the robotics/scientific automation industry as well as further experience previously in software development, Darren leads the service and support teams across HighRes to ensure the highest standards of support, service and professionalism is provided to the HighRes customer base.
Prior to joining HighRes, Darren spent 10 years at RTS Life Sciences where he held multiple positions covering both software development, robotics/system commissioning, project management through to customer service and support management. Darren graduated with a BS in Software Development from The University of Huddersfield.
