TECH AND...is a monthly event series where we host thought-leaders from a specific industry and explore new intersections between their field and technology.


GA is inviting recruiters and hiring managers from top companies across the city for a roundtable conversation to discuss how technology has changed the way they manage employee acquisition.

They’ll also be sharing tips and tools for streamlining the recruitment process and share how they stay up to date on digital skills and industry trends to recruit top talent for technical roles.

With a masters degree in Opera, Jennifer Paxton didn't think she would have a career in talent actuation, however, she fell in love with helping candidates find the right role. She started her career at a recruiting firm placing technical professionals, then after a few years moved in-house to Fiksu where she grew their team from 150 to 300 within two years. Now Jennifer is at LevelUp, a Boston tech company building the next generation payment network that seamlessly blends customer engagement, rewards, and analytics with the consumer’s payment. LevelUp powers over 200 restaurant apps and has their own app you can download for iPhone or Android.

A lifetime resident of Massachusetts, Justin graduated from the Isenberg School of Management in 2014 with a degree in Marketing and a keen interest in sustainable business. Prior to Turbonomic he went to work at the fast-growing e-commerce company, Wayfair.com through their IPO. Currently, he is now leading the employer branding efforts at Boston’s next pillar tech company, Turbonomic, but in his free time he can be found; traveling the Caribbean, making trips to Colorado, volunteering, kayaking, hiking with his Goldendoodle and playing his guitar.

Currently, at FullFunnel he is charged with identifying recruiting and retaining the top 5-10% of young professionals in the sales and marketing environment. While the candidate profile has changed drastically the challenges of recruiting high specialized, highly qualified, and highly sought after candidates are very much transferable across industries and verticals.
