Who we are: We've raised $190M in capital, nearly 90% from our own customers like Lockheed Martin and Softbank. We are rewriting the rules on how organizations protect themselves against rapidly evolving adversaries. Today’s threat environment requires understanding the adversary and attack landscape. Since our start in 2012, our technology has stopped the world’s most advanced cyber attacks. And we harbor even greater ambitions.
Why we're here: We are here to protect our customers by exploiting their adversaries’ weaknesses. The layers of protection a company has are irrelevant since adversaries will always find a way to bypass them.However, after infiltrating an organization, the attackers are vulnerable. Their activity offers an opportunity to discover the attack. So we developed an endpoint detection platform that uses this insight to empower security teams.
What we do: We instantly tell companies if they are under attack, the attack’s impact and how to immediately stop the threat. Our platform finds a single component of an attack and connects it to other pieces of information to reveal an entire campaign and shut it down. Even the most talented analysts would struggle with detecting a threat and quickly building a complete attack story. We simplify this process.

CEO and Co-Founder
Lior Div, CEO and Co-Founder of Cybereason, is an expert in the fields of hacking operations, forensics, reverse engineering, malware analysis, cryptography & evasion. Previously, Lior served in unit 8200 of the Israeli Intelligence Corps as a commander of a cyber security team, where he received a medal of honor for his excellent achievements. Prior to co-founding Cybereason, Lior founded a cyber security services company that provided services to Israeli government agencies.
CVO and Co-Founder
Yossi Naar, CVO and Co-Founder of Cybereson, is an accomplished product leader. During his 15 years of industry experience, Yossi designed many products, from cutting edge security platforms for the defense industry to big data platforms for the AdTech / Digital marketing industry as well as the Cybereason in-memory graph engine.
CTO and Co-Founder
Yonatan Striem-Amit, CTO and Co-Founder of Cybereason, is a machine learning, big data analytics and visualization technology expert, with over a decade of experience applying analytics to security in the Israeli Defense Forces and Israeli Governmental Agencies. Prior to founding Cybereason, Mr. Striem-Amit headed the development for Watchdox, a leading DRM and SaaS security startup.
Chief Marketing Officer
Mike Volpe, CMO, is an executive with hands on expertise in marketing, business development, strategy and lead generation for B2B SaaS startups. As a member of the founding team and CMO, he drove HubSpot's growth from zero to 1,000 employees and 15,000+ customers as well as a successful IPO. Mike is also an angel investor, advisor, or board member at more than 25 companies, primarily software startups in Boston.
The business leaders Mike admires most are Jeff Bezos, Mark Benioff, and Elon Musk because all of them stayed true to their vision and didn't let their doubters get in their way. His favorite saying about startups is ''It's easier to hate than innovate.'' Secretly Mike wishes he had awesome DJ skills, but he settles for finding cool mixes on Soundcloud.
Chief Product Officer
Sam Curry, CPO, is an IT security visionary with over 20 years of IT security industry experience. Sam served as Chief Technology and Security Officer at Arbor Networks, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of Arbor’s technology, security and innovation roadmap. Previously, he spent more than seven years at RSA (the Security Division of EMC) in a variety of senior management positions, including Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technologist and Senior Vice President of Product Management and Product Marketing. Sam has also held senior roles at Microstrategy, Computer Associates, and McAfee.
CEO Cybereason Japan
Shai Horovitz, CEO Cybereason Japan, oversees the company's expansion in the Japanese market in collaboration with the SoftBank Group. Previously, Shai served in various leadership positions in the premier Special Operations Unit of the Israel Defense Forces.
VP Strategy and Growth
Emmy Linder, VP Strategy and Growth, has 10 years of senior management experience, including 5 years in operating product and project management roles in technology companies. Prior to joining Cybereason, she worked for The Boston Consulting Group, where she focused on operational excellence and organizational design programs. Emmy began her career in the Israeli Defense Forces Unit 8200 where she commanded a 24/7 intelligence team.
Chief Financial Officer
Scott Ward, CFO, has extensive experience efficiently scaling technology companies in high growth sectors and emerging markets. Prior to joining Cybereason, Scott worked in the adtech space as CFO of Nanigans, a leader in advertising automation software.
Israel Barak, CISO, is a cyber defense and warfare expert, with his extensive background established at the Israeli Defense Forces and the Government of Israel. As Cybereason’s CISO, Israel is at the forefront of the company’s security innovation, as well as research and analysis of current and evolving advanced threats. Israel founded and headed the Israeli Defense Forces red team unit, as well as established and operated various cyber warfare teams. As part of his various roles, Israel developed cyber warfare infrastructure and proprietary technologies, including leading development of proprietary cryptographic solutions, research and analysis of security vulnerabilities, information security products and technologies, and managed enterprise-wide large scale development and implementation projects of cyber technologies. Israel spent years training, guiding and professionally mentoring new personnel, providing in-depth cyber expertise as it relates to cyber warfare, cyber security, and threat actor’s tactics and procedures. Israel is a regular speaker at leading cyber security industry conferences and events.
GM Israel R&D Center
Ziv Oren, General Manager, Tel Aviv, is a strategic technology executive with more than 20 years of experience building and leading high-performing technology organizations, specializing in technological, operational and organizational turnarounds. Ziv has a background in managing operations, IT infrastructures, information system development, dev-ops, BI, QA, professional-services, support and PMO activities. He has a strong business orientation with B2B, M&A and regulation experience in both public and privately held companies. Previously, Ziv was the founder and CEO of Budgetao, a SaaS-based budgeting platform.
Chief Revenue Officer
Andy Byron, Chief Revenue Officer, has a highly successful leadership track record spanning both large and small high-growth software companies. He comes to Cybereason from Fuze (formerly ThinkingPhones), a unified communications service provider. As President and COO, Andy grew the team from 200 to 700+ employees, and to more than 1,500 global clients across a variety of verticals and markets. Prior to Fuze, Andy led sales teams at Aveksa, BMC Software, and BladeLogic.
Vice President and General Counsel
Jonathan Shapira is Vice President and General Counsel tothe board of directors and senior management on corporate governance, commercial contracts, privacy and data security and other corporate matters. He has a background in corporate law and has extensive experience representing technology companies from startup through their acquisition or initial public offering and beyond.
Senior Vice President Customer Success
Bhanu Sareddy, Senior Vice President Customer Success, has a clear track record of defining the customer journey and delivering value. With experience at Tufin, Fuze, Aveksa (RSA), and Netegrity (CA), he managed professional services, customer success, and support teams delivering enterprise-grade solutions that have driven revenue, created long-term relationships, and built trust with customers.
Cindy Klein Roche
Cindy Klein Roche, VP of Brand, is a marketing executive who has focused on brand building, integrated marketing, and customer experience at Fortune 1000 companies such as TripAdvisor, athenahealth, and Fidelity. She has built top global brands from scratch, driven significant growth in brand awareness, and created successful go-to-market programs for consumer, small business, and enterprise audiences that led to dramatic sales results.
Hemdat Cohen-Shraga has a proven track record of managing and scaling engineering groups. Prior to Cybereason, Hemdat served as the VP Engineering of Matomy, where she managed a team of over 50 engineers. Before that, she held management positions at companies including as Limelight Networks and Microsoft.
Ronny Maate comes to Cybereason from Payoneer, a leading financial tech company specializing in cross-border business payments, where built its product group and methodologies as VP of Product. Before Payoneer, Ronny served in various product and management roles at 888Holdings, Citi innovation lab, and amdocs. Ronny holds a BSC in information system engineering from the Technion and an MBA from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC).
Ilan Dray, VP of Creative, has over 25 years of experience in advertising and interactive multimedia/digital product design. As the co-founder of Inkod, the leading UX/UI Studio in Israel and one of the top 100 digital agencies worldwide, Ilan has extensive experience in B2B digital product design, particularly cybersecurity. Ilan is also co-founder and adviser at Today Ventures, a Tel-Aviv based Accelerator.
VP, Technical Operations
Vered Gomma, Vice President of Technical Operations, has a clear track record managing large-scale technical operations and production groups in the online and software industries. With experience at Kenshoo, Kaltura and 888 Holdings, Vered has managed IT infrastructure teams, DevOPS teams, support teams, professional services, NOC teams, and customer success.
VP, Demand Generation
Patrick Shea, VP of Demand Generation, has 10+ years of experience driving demand and growth across multiple channels and managing high-performance teams. Prior to Cybereason, Patrick ran marketing for HubSpot’s partner programs, accounting for 40% of the company’s annual revenue, and helped successfully bring the company to market across a wide range of industries.
Global VP, Strategic Alliances
Rob Peacock, Global VP of Strategic Alliances, is a seasoned executive with deep enterprise technology, management consulting, technology, creative, and digital services experience. Previously, as an executive at Sprinklr, Rob built their alliances program and assisted in the growth of 1,500+ customers, 13 acquisitions, and 1,600 employees. Rob spent the previous 15 years consulting, including running digital transformation and omnichannel strategy at SapientNitro, helping grow to $1.2BN in services revenue.
VP, Information Security
Shlomi Avivi, VP of Information Security, has 15+ years experience building and managing security organizations at high-risk, regulated tech companies. He comes to Cybereason with a diverse experience and deep understanding in the various aspects of security and compliance, both technical and non-technical.
