As Chief People Officer, Steph is responsible for ensuring that Bottomline attracts and retains top talent through a unique and engaging candidate and employee experience. Partnering with organizational leadership Steph is responsible for ensuring that employees are engaged and productive.
Steph has held HR leadership positions predominantly in the Technology space at companies of varying sizes from early stage to $2B both publicly and privately held. Steph brings a strong background in employee engagement, talent management, leadership development and talent acquisition.
Executive Vice President, Product Strategy & Customer Delivery
Andrew drives product innovation and excellence at Bottomline. He is all about building innovative solutions, delighting customers, and developing great talent.
Andrew has over 25 years of experience at firms dedicated to developing and deploying software and SaaS products to the financial and insurance industry, at firms including Wall Street Systems, ICM Electronic Banking Services, and RAC Information Systems.
General Manager, Cloud Payment Solutions
Jessica understands the value of putting customers first, and leverages this in managing Bottomline’s Cloud Payments sales, product management, product development, and partner relationships. She drives Bottomline’s innovative Paymode-X platform, and is passionate about changing the way businesses pay and get paid.
With nearly 20 years’ experience leading product management, professional services, marketing and field operation and support teams worldwide, at companies such as Microsoft and Computer Associates, Jessica is a proven high-tech B2B executive.
Chief Information Officer
John believes in a team oriented, pragmatic and forward thinking approach to managing enterprise systems and infrastructure. Using a combination of deep technical knowledge, management skills, and general business expertise, John ensures that Bottomline and its global customers benefit from a robust, secure, and reliable technology infrastructure.
John has over 25 years’ experience in managing complex internet, enterprise software, and information technology projects and departments at companies including Anacomp and Polaroid.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Rick works with Rob and the rest of the leadership team to define Bottomline’s business model, drive performance, and maximize shareholder value. Functionally, in addition to managing all aspects of the financial functions, Rick acts as a primary point of contact with investors.
Rick brings more than 25 years of experience providing financial, strategic and operational leadership to rapidly growing global technology companies to this role. Most recently he was at Sapient Corporation where he was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller. Previously, he held a number of senior finance positions of increasing responsibility at Nuance Communications as it grew from less than $400 million in revenue in fiscal 2006 to $1.9 billion in revenue in fiscal 2013. Rick has held a variety of executive roles at EMC Corporation, Mercer Management Consulting, and Coopers & Lybrand.
Rick is a licensed CPA, and holds an MBA from Stanford University, an MS in Taxation from Bentley University, an MS in Organizational Development from American University, and a BS in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University.

Norm thrives on accelerating innovation in financial technology. As General Manager of Bottomline’s Digital Banking and Business Solutions, Norm has proven that a deep understanding of banking and financial institution needs, regulatory trends, global market dynamics, and technology capabilities are critical to driving market changing innovation, winning, and delighting customers.
Norm brings an extraordinarily deep and rich understanding of the banking industry to Bottomline, with over 20 years’ experience working for and/or with some of the world’s largest banks, including Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of America and Fleet Financial.
As General Counsel, Kate guides the company's global efforts to adhere to the highest legal and ethical standards. Partnering with team members across the business, Kate ensures that employees have the legal resources and support they need to drive innovation and deliver solutions that earn and maintain customers' trust. Kate is a results-oriented executive who enjoys addressing complex legal and regulatory matters with practical, simple and effective solutions.
Kate has served as legal counsel to organizations across a broad range of industries, from early stage ventures to Fortune 200 publicly-traded companies. Kate brings a strong background in commercial matters, including technology licensing, mergers and acquisitions, international ventures and compliance, and corporate governance.
General Manager, Legal Solutions
In leading Bottomline’s Legal Solutions organization, John recognizes the importance of understanding and meeting the needs of legal professionals and the insurance industry. With over 25 years of experience in sales and development of B2B software solutions, John offers a rich set of senior management leadership skills complemented with extensive software, SaaS, insurance, and legal industry knowledge.
John’s background includes leadership positions at Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services and Sony, together with online experience at Prodigy and management consulting at KPMG. John holds both an MBA from the London Business School and a B.S. in Economics from Loughborough University in the UK.
Chief Experience Officer
Brian thrives on delivering innovative and elegant solutions. As Chief Experience Officer at Bottomline Technologies, Brian leads a global effort to ensure that Bottomline provides an exceptional experience for the users of our products and services.
Brian has 25 years of experience delivering end user focused products, designs and innovation for a range of companies including: Exxon, Sunoco, Williams-Sonoma, The Home Depot and Starbucks.
Executive Vice President, Global Controller
Eric ensures Bottomline meets its reporting obligations as a global, public company for Bottomline’s accounting, tax, SEC reporting and internal control related functions. Eric encourages his team to work with and for each other and to remain focused on delighting Bottomline’s customers.
Eric has over 20 years of experience with complex accounting, finance and SEC financial reporting matters. Prior to joining Bottomline, Eric was a Manager with Ernst and Young where he worked predominantly with private and publicly traded technology and manufacturing clients.
Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development
David leads strategy and corporate development processes for Bottomline. As a globally oriented executive with 25 years of experience working with private and publicly traded technology companies, David has a unique set of experiences across the full life-cycle of the software industry: as a venture capital investor, an entrepreneur, a board member, and corporate development executive.
Prior to Bottomline, David’s experience includes executive roles at IBM, Unica (acquired by IBM), BowStreet (acquired by IBM), Preferred Systems (acquired by Computer Associates), and ChinaVest.
Chief Marketing Officer
Christine is passionate about marketing. She brings a metric driven and collaborative approach to leading all marketing across Bottomline globally. Christine believes that transforming marketing from a cost-center to a profit-center is critical to Bottomline’s long term success.
As an award winning marketer, Christine brings 15 years of B2B marketing leadership experience to Bottomline. Her career includes executive roles at SunGard Availability Services, Infor Global Solutions, and IMlogic.

Paul leads sales for Europe. He is a strong advocate for the development of talented people, setting the proper vision, creating partnerships, and delivering the very highest standards in customer service.
Paul has over 20 years’ experience in the IT and finance sectors as a sales, business development, and marketing executive.
Managing Director, Europe
Nigel is responsible for Bottomline’s European business. He is passionate about developing innovative customer centric solutions and strong partner relationships to drive business growth in Bottomline’s international markets.
Nigel has more than 25 years of experience in setting strategy and managing operations within the financial technology B2B solutions market place. This includes extensive experience in both buy side and sell side mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Bottomline in 2000, Nigel led product strategy at Checkpoint Security Services Ltd. and sales at Bowater Security Solutions.
