Techstars is a global network of startup accelerators that foster entrepreneurship and innovation to the ever-growing tech community. They have locations in several cities across the country and Boston is one of the more prominent hosts of the Techstars program.
On April 26, Northeastern University hosted the ten companies that are partaking in Techstars Boston to showcase what their businesses are all about. Before the pitches, Techstars Boston Co-Directors Clement Cazalot and Aaron O’Hearn took the stage to welcome everyone and urged any and all audience members to participate in an online discussion about Demo Day.
In the middle of all the pitches, Techstars Boston Chief Operating Officer Jenny Lawton gave a speech about her personal experiences as a woman in Boston’s tech industry and what led her to work for Techstars.
Below is a slideshow of the ten companies in the 2018 cohort. One aspect of the event that stood out to us was the fact that nearly every pitch included or ended with an announcement of some kind regarding the future of the company. Check it out!
