The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Ipswitch's New Offices (Slideshow)

Burlington, Massachusetts is home to many prominent tech companies including Microsoft, Salesforce, and HealthcareSource have offices in the Boston suburb.

Now, Ipswitch, one of the leading providers of IT management and cloud monitoring software, has a brand new headquarters nearby the Wayside Commons. On Monday, they held an official ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the new location. A variety of special guests were also on cue to speak for the occasion.

After walking past the waterfall in the lobby and taking the elevator to the fourth floor, the company welcomed the guests into their offices. Before the speeches began, there were short videos showing the construction and move into the new building.

Ipswitch EVP and CMO Jeanne Hopkins started off the speeches by talking about how the employees were happy to be in a much more open environment.

Speakers included Ipswitch Chief People Officer Steven Rotman, MassTLC President and CEO Tom Hopcroft, Massachusetts State Representative Kenneth Gordon and the First Lady of Massachusetts Lauren Baker.

Baker was also given a chance to speak about the non-profit organization Wonderfund, which provides clothing, food, and other resources for children across the state. Baker compared the organization to Ipswitch’s culture and how the company is always willing to lend a helping hand to one another.

After words, tours of the new office started along with a group building activity where attendees and Ipswitch employees packaged clothing for underprivileged children. The packages would be delivered on behalf of Wonderfund.

As for the offices, VentureFizz had an opportunity to join in on the tours. The office contains a full view of Burlington and, on a clear day, you can see the Boston skyline. The biggest addition was a new wide-open workspace built specifically for collaboration. The teams at their old location in Lexington were secluded in their own separate areas, and the new offices fulfilled that request. There are new conference rooms and the company shows which MLB team they root for in their new lounge.

Take a look at some of the office pictures, along with pictures from the ceremony, in the slideshow below!
