On March 13th, TUGG will once again be hosting what has become the Boston tech/innovation community event of the year with the Eighth Annual Tech Charity Tequila and Wine Party at Royale in Boston.
As always, the event is raising money to help local charities and non-profits. This year’s beneficiaries include BUILD Boston, Catie’s Closet, Doc Wayne, Quest Adventures, Rightside Shirts, Science from Scientists, and Youth Harbors.
This year’s event is being put together and “hosted” by some of the biggest names in the Boston tech scene including Dan Primack of Fortune, Crashlytics/Twitter Boston’s Wayne Chang, Scott Savitz of Data Point Capital, SessionM’s Lars Albright, Matt Bellows of Yesware, Atlas Venture’s Fred Destin, BostInno’s Chase Garbarino, Jon Karlen of Flybridge, Adam Marcus of OpenView Venture Partners, Patrick Morley of Bit9, Fashion Project’s Anna Palmer, Jason Robins of DraftKings, InsightSquared’s Fred Shilmover, and Adam Valkin of General Catalyst.
The event will feature a ton of wine, an Avion tequila bar, delicious food, and DJ Shuze (aka startup DJ Jay Batson) & DJ David Gallant of HubSpot.
TUGG’s David Brown said of this year’s event, "We are thrilled about the return of the Wine Party! This year is going to blow away past events with seven amazing nonprofits, a killer new location, and over 1,000 leaders from the innovation community."
"At the end of the day,” he added, “this is what TUGG is all about: great folks coming together for a good time and to make their voices heard on which social innovators they think are going to make the biggest difference in the future of our community.”
“It's what open-source philanthropy is all about-community leadership around relevant community issues."
