Can you share the details on what ClickSoftware does?

ClickSoftware is a leading provider of field service management software. ClickSoftware provides customers with intelligent, automated decision making delivered in real time. The cloud-based Click Field Service Edge platform is a cutting-edge solution for optimizing the scheduling and management of a mobile workforce and mission-critical service operations.

Can you talk about your technology?  On your website, it talks about artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT).  How are those technologies utilized in your solution for field service and workforce management?

The simplest way to define artificial intelligence as it relates to field service software is as the ability to optimize every aspect of field service delivery—even without prior programming. By processing data and running simulations based on various objectives, ClickSoftware enables a smarter, more efficient workforce with benefits delivered in real time.

The most common use cases for AI in field service include smarter scheduling and route optimization to reduce travel time. But the real advantage comes in mapping optimization to business goals—from SLA compliance to revenue growth—and letting the AI find the right path to each desired outcome.

The Internet of Things is poised to radically change the way companies do business. The evolution of sensors in connected devices and advances in big data analysis will combine to make field service increasingly proactive, highly efficient, and, in many cases, less dependent on human intervention.

As a field service management pioneer, ClickSoftware has been closely involved in networked field service for many years and in particular in the elements that combine to make up today’s IoT, such as GPS, mobility, business intelligence and big data, and machine-to-machine (M2M) technology.
