Boston Tech Events Look-Ahead

VentureFizz strives to be your one-stop shop for the Boston Tech Scene. Our calendar is stockpiled with classes and events for Boston entrepreneurs to learn and network. They all deserve their due, but I want to highlight a few lined up for next week to help you schedule accordingly.  Rework that schedule of yours and get out to some of these events!


  • Margaritas! It’s Cinco de Mayo (of course) and NEVCA invites you to Battery Ventures' fabulous office space in the Innovation District to mingle with some great people and ring in the nice weather! Event Kicks off at 6:00 PM.
  • Healthcare your space? You don’t want to miss this annual event from Mobile Monday at District Hall. Some great speakers (Athenahealth & Fitbit among them) and a Demo Area organized by MassTLC.
  • WeWork Fort Point is hosting Boston Content at 6 PM for an all around discussion on content production.  Marcus Wilson, former Head of Brand Strategy at Reebok is among the featured speakers. 


  • Allclasses wants you to come out for the Launch of their vertical search engine that connects people to classes (online & off). They’re lining up several of panelists for a roundtable. 10AM at the Boston Public Library.
  • Trying to Break into the Startup World?? This is the event you’ve been waiting for! Get advice from a strong panel that includes Abby Fichtner of Hack Boston, Reed Sturtevant of Project 11, Trish Fontanilla of VSnap & Justin Robinson of Drizly. 


  • Early Stage FundingStartOut & Startup Institute are bringing in the experts to share the knowledge on funding options for early stage startups. 6:00 PM start. 


  • Mass High Tech11th Annual Women To Watch. Things kick off at 7:30 AM at The Sheraton Hotel, Dalton St.
  • It’s always fun and inspriing seeing new companies people are working on. Head over to Harvard Innovation Lab for the President’s Challenge Demo Day. The 10 Finalists will begin their demo at 5:00 PM. 


  • HACKATHON. General Assembly & Together Boston are holding their 2nd Annual 24 hour hackathon. Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Local Hack, Music Hack & Art Hack. Registration begins at 4:00 PM at GA Boston – 51 Melcher Street. 


  • Need some $$ for your next Milestone? Startup Jackpot, a new grassroots competition is coming to Boston. There is still room to attend & compete. More details available on our write up earlier this week.
