Founder & CEO
Ash Ashutosh brings more than 25 years of storage industry and entrepreneurship experience to his role of CEO at Actifio. Ashutosh is a recognized leader and architect in the storage industry where he has spearheaded several major industry initiatives, including iSCSI and storage virtualization, and led the authoring of numerous storage industry standards. Ashutosh was most recently a Partner with Greylock Partners where he focused on making investments in enterprise IT companies. Prior to Greylock, he was Vice President and Chief Technologist for HP Storage.
Ashutosh founded and led AppIQ, a market leader of Storage Resource Management (SRM) solutions, which was acquired by HP in 2005. He was also the founder of Serano Systems, a Fibre Channel controller solutions provider, acquired by Vitesse Semiconductor in 1999. Prior to Serano, Ashutosh was Senior Vice President at StorageNetworks, the industry’s first Storage Service Provider. He previously worked as an architect and engineer at LSI and Intergraph.
Ashutosh remains an avid supporter of entrepreneurship and is an advisor and board member for several commercial and non-profit organizations. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Penn State University.
As President, Jim Sullivan brings 23 years of storage industry experience and a stellar track record in positioning companies for growth. Sullivan was most recently the President of XIV, a pioneer and market leader of next generation storage arrays, which was acquired by IBM.
As Vice President, Worldwide Sales, IBM System Storage, Sullivan spearheaded explosive triple-digit sales growth of XIV storage resulting in more than $500M in revenues in three years. Previously, during an outstanding 12-year tenure at EMC, Sullivan executed one of the storage industry’s fastest growths in sales, holding numerous leadership positions and culminating in the role of Senior Vice President of Sales.
Sullivan was a board member at AppIQ (acquired by HP) and Diligent (acquired by IBM), and is a member of the Young President’s Organization devoted to the professional and personal growth of business leaders around the world. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in English from Boston College and is a Board Member of the Technology Council.
SVP, Solutions Development
As Vice President of Products, David Chang brings more than 20 years of experience in successfully developing and managing system-wide solutions for the storage industry. Chang was most recently the Director of Engineering and Product Management at HP software and was an AppIQ co-founder.
Prior to AppIQ, Chang was the director of advanced network storage at StorageNetworks where he was responsible for driving key strategic initiatives and new products and services. Previously, as a product line manager for LSI Logic, Chang was responsible for directing research and development investments in storage-related semiconductor, RAID, software and system technologies. While at LSI Logic, Chang also held a variety of engineering, management, sales and marketing positions, and was responsible for building LSI’s first offshore regional software design center.
Chang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from University of Minnesota – Minneapolis and a Master of Science degree from National Technological University.
Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Brian Reagan brings more than 20 years experience accelerating growth for storage and data management organizations. He was most recently the CTO of the Resiliency Services division at IBM Corporation, responsible for the technology strategy, R&D, solution engineering, and application development for all global offerings including cloud services.
Prior to IBM, he was CMO for Arsenal Digital Solutions, which was purchased by IBM in 2008, as well as CMO for performance data storage firm Xiotech. Reagan also held senior-level strategy and marketing roles at EMC Corporation and MCI Telecommunications. Reagan has served as an advisor to a number of startups throughout his career.
Brian holds a B.A. from Bennington College and a MBA from George Mason University. He is a passionate advocate for food allergy research and education and member of the FARE organization, as both of his children have food allergies. Through the organization, he has participated in charitable events, walks, and lobbying in Washington, D.C. over the past decade.
Chief Financial Offier
As CFO Jim is responsible for all financial and administrative operations at Actifio including finance, human resources, legal, IT, and facilities. Prior to Actifio, Jim served as the CFO of LogMeIn, which he joined in July, 2006 and played a pivotal role in growing through its successful initial public offering in July, 2009.
Prior to LogMeIn, Jim was the Chief Financial Officer of IMlogic, a venture-backed enterprise instant messaging company. Before that he served in a number of financial executive roles, including stints as VP of Finance and International Chief Financial Officer of PTC, a publicly traded software development company; Corporate Controller of Groundwater Technologies; and European Finance Director of Cullinet Software. Kelliher began his career as an Audit Supervisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Jim serves on the Board of Directors of Fleetmatics Group PLC a NYSE publicly traded software-as-a-service (SAAS) company and Adaptive Insights, a venture funded SaaS based business analytics company. He holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University.
Senior Vice President, Global Services and Customer Success
Pervez Sikora has over 25 years of operations, customer support, professional services and engineering experience. This has given Pervez a diverse background that includes entrepreneurship, operations leadership, software engineering and technology management. As Vice President, Global Services and Customer Success at Actifio, Pervez is responsible for the delivery of professional services and technical support to Actifio’s customers around the world.
Prior to Actifio, Pervez was the Chief Information Officer at Impremedia, where he led the successful migration of over 90% of the technology infrastructure to the cloud. Before Impremedia, Pervez was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Ad2Pro Media Solutions, one of the world’s largest providers of offshore marketing and advertising design services to global media and retail companies.
Pervez holds a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University.

Working at Actifio is awesome! The whole team is results oriented, collaborative, motivational, and innovative. It’s non-traditional in a good way. Not corporate with approachable executives and a family oriented environment. The schedule is extremely flexible with a work hard play hard mentality. There is a good balance between work life and personal life.

The best way to get a job is through employee referrals or internships.
What can someone expect during the interview process?
The interview process is rigorous. You may go through several rounds before an offer is made. We have a great recruiting team here and with a diverse spread of people in the interview panel. We expect candidates to come really well prepared and know a lot about our company and the copy data virtualization industry. Depending on the role you are applying for, be prepared for whiteboard sessions or presentations. You’ll meet executives and colleagues alike but everyone is very friendly and you feel the energy the second you walk in the door.
What can people expect over the course of their career at Actifio?
Over the course of a career at Actifio there will be a lot of opportunity to expand your career and your personal growth. You’ll receive executive mentoring, garner new skills and have the independence to take over a lot of responsibility. You can really develop and mold your role into something you love doing. It’s really like drinking from the fire hose when you get here but there is minimal micromanagement. You’ll have the opportunity to meet some of the best people in the industry and do a lot of networking as well.
Are there any favorite activities that the employees do outside of the office?
Our employees are extremely active and participate in a wide variety of activities together including but not limited to bike trips, soccer, eating and cooking together, potlucks, company outings, charity events, food drives, holiday parties, family events and team appreciation dinners. We brew our own beer and have champagne/whiskey tastings, and have a department sponsored beer cart.
Are there any fun facts or unique stories that you can share about Actifio or individuals that work there?
Our Inside Sales team uses razor scooters to get around. One of our employees has a collection of over 500 Chobani yogurt cups. Shoes are optional and we have deep-fried anything.
What TV or movie would best describe the working environment and employees at Actifio?
Our office is exactly like the show Modern Family. We are slightly dysfunctional at times but all really love working with each other.
