The Professional Services Engineer (PSE) is an integral part of the Services organization and a customer facing representative of Actifio. The PSE is responsible for ensuring that the company’s products are implemented within a customer’s organization in such a way as to meet or exceed a customer’s reasonable expectations of the solution’s technical and business benefits.

Responsibilities/Key Task

  • Implementation of Actifio solutions in customer production environments
  • Understand and demonstrate to customers how Actifio solutions provides business value and return on
    investment

  • Enable customers on use and maintenance of the solution
  • Train and mentor Peers
  • Develop solution architecture and technical action plans

Requirements/Qualification

  • Have strong Knowledge in Databases, specifically, Oracle and SQL and able to interact with DBAs in

  • Experience with Unix (Solaris, AIX or HP-UX) and Linux operating system with a good understanding of
    Networking and routing.
  • Strong Shell scripting knowledge is required.
  • Clear understanding of SAN / NAS architecture with experience in at least on storage and NAS technology
    product solution
  • Good understanding on SAN switches for Zoning in at least on technology product solution like Brocade,
    Cisco, etc.
  • Experience with at least one backup and replication technology for data backup and replication.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technology like VMware or Hyper-V
  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud is desired\

The primary function of the Customer Success Engineer (CSE) is to work with customers in identifying, resolving, and preventing issues using Actifio products.  The candidate must possess strong technical aptitude as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities/Key Tasks

  • Responsible for providing technical support to Global Actifio customers and partners, both electronically and via telephone for any technical issues they may be experiencing with Actifio solutions.
  • Reproduce customer issues including details of their environment and customizations.
  • Monitor customer’s systems and perform any action required by technical alert notifications.
  • Perform technical collaboration with our engineering team for further troubleshooting, bug fixes, or workarounds, as necessary.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation of the issue, resolution, and steps taken to resolve, including details of the customer’s environment and any customizations.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical support to enterprise customers and partners
  • Hands-on experience with Storage Area Networks and Linux/Unix operating systems

You will be the primary technical go-to-person for Actifio’s customers in the post-sales stage of the customer’s lifecycle.  Your core mission is to help our customers maximize the value of their Actifio investment.  You will work closely with customers to ensure that system is configured optimally and is being used within deployment guidelines at all times.  During customer service events, you will serve as the primary contact between the Customer and Actifio’s services, support and engineering teams to ensure speedy resolution of technical issues.  You will work with the account team to identify new growth and sales opportunities based on technical observations.

  • Conduct monthly technical health checks of the customer’s Actifio environment
  • Monitor and review incoming support cases
  • Work with the customer’s technical team to ensure that the system is being maintained and managed well according to Actifio’s best practices
  • Ensure that Customer is running the most latest stable version within 3-6 months of release
  • Engage with a new Customer during the deployment phase to ensure that you have a good understanding of the environment and the Actifio implementation
  • Identify knowledge gaps in the Customer’s technical staff and leverage training and development resources to help close these gaps
  • Identify new use cases and other growth opportunities and work with the account team to define new opportunities
  • In this role you may also be called upon to assist in pre-sales activity as required, including sales presentation, product demonstration, configuration creation and management as well as the creation of proposal and RFP response documentation.”
  • Provide regular customer health reports to sales and executive management

We are looking for a high energy, professional Office Manager/Administrative Assistant.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day office tasks and performing a wide variety of administrative duties. This individual should be able to work independently with little or no supervision. What is it like to work at your company in terms of your culture? 

Working at Actifio is awesome! The whole team is results oriented, collaborative, motivational, and innovative. It’s non-traditional in a good way. Not corporate with approachable executives and a family oriented environment. The schedule is extremely flexible with a work hard play hard mentality. There is a good balance between work life and personal life.

What’s the best way to get a job at Actifio?

The best way to get a job is through employee referrals or internships. 

What can someone expect during the interview process? 

The interview process is rigorous. You may go through several rounds before an offer is made. We have a great recruiting team here and with a diverse spread of people in the interview panel. We expect candidates to come really well prepared and know a lot about our company and the copy data virtualization industry. Depending on the role you are applying for, be prepared for whiteboard sessions or presentations. You’ll meet executives and colleagues alike but everyone is very friendly and you feel the energy the second you walk in the door. 

What can people expect over the course of their career at Actifio?

Over the course of a career at Actifio there will be a lot of opportunity to expand your career and your personal growth. You’ll receive executive mentoring, garner new skills and have the independence to take over a lot of responsibility. You can really develop and mold your role into something you love doing. It’s really like drinking from the fire hose when you get here but there is minimal micromanagement. Our employees are extremely active and participate in a wide variety of activities together including but not limited to bike trips, soccer, eating and cooking together, potlucks, company outings, charity events, food drives, holiday parties, family events and team appreciation dinners. We brew our own beer and have champagne/whiskey tastings, and have a department sponsored beer cart.

Are there any fun facts or unique stories that you can share about Actifio or individuals that work there? 

Our Inside Sales team uses razor scooters to get around. One of our employees has a collection of over 500 Chobani yogurt cups. Shoes are optional and we have deep-fried anything. 

What TV or movie would best describe the working environment and employees at Actifio?

Our office is exactly like the show Modern Family. We are slightly dysfunctional at times but all really love working with each other.
