Q2 is behind us... so that means... it is time to review all the deals that happened over the quarter.
As we did in Q1, we are going to take a look at some of the major deals over three days: The Big Ones; Scaling to the Next Level & The Next Generation.
Today, we are looking at... The Big Ones - meaning exits or companies that are likely on the cusp of having an exit.
Imprivata Goes Public!
Boston had its second IPO of the year! Imprivata went public in June trading on the NYSE under the symbol IMPR. They priced right in the middle of their expected range at $15.00 a share.
Congrats to the founders, investors (General Catalyst, Highland Capital, & Polaris Partners) and all the employees!

Acquia Raises $50M!
Acquia closed a monster $50 million financing round, bringing their total investment in the company to $118.6 million!
The round was led by new investor New Enterprise Associates (NEA). North Bridge Venture Partners, Sigma Partners, and many others also participated in the round.

Simplisafe Raises $57M
Google’s $3.2 billion acquisition of Nest Labs showed just how lucrative the home market can be.
Sequoia Capital invested $57M in the do-it-yourself home security company Simplisafe in a play on the home security and automation market.
Who says Boston can't do consumer...and attract west coast money?
Stackdriver Acquired by Google
Stackdriver, which provides intelligent monitoring for infrastructure, systems & apps, was acquired by Google in May to work with their Cloud Platform team.
Stackdriver started only 2 years ago by Izzy Azeri & Dan Belcher, who were able to raise their Series A round of funding before they had a product... yet, they had done a ton of research to validate their idea.
Then, they built a killer engineering team... quickly raised their B round last September from Bain Capital and Flybridge Capital Partners... then, boom - a very nice exit for all involved.
SilverRail Raises $40M
SilverRail, the global leader in passenger rail search and distribution technologies, raised $40M in Series C funding to accelerate the integration of global rail carriers, continue building next generation search technology, and expand carrier IT solutions.
The investment round was led by Mithril Capital Management (the global technology investment firm founded by Peter Thiel & Ajay Royan.

TalkTo built technology that allowed you to text any local business and get a text response back.
In June, Path acquired TalkTo, with whom they share a vision for the future of messaging as a hub for communicating with all the people, places and things in your life. They raised $3M from Matrix Partners (Antonio Rodriguez) in 2012.
Intralinks Acquires docTrackr
Back in April, Intralinks (NYSE: IL) acquired docTrackr, a Cambridge based provider of document security solutions and Techstars 2012 alum.
Investors in docTrackr included Polaris Partners & Atlas Venture. docTrackr’s security and digital rights management (DRM) technology will be integrated into the Intralinks platform.

Invaluable Raises $33.75 Million
Invaluable, which is quietly building the world’s largest online live auction marketplace, raised over $33M for their Series D round of funding which was led by New York-based Insight Venture Partners.
Existing investors Ascent Venture Partners and Commonwealth Capital Ventures also participated in the round.
...yes, this is a consumer company.
Swipely Raises $20 Million
Representing Providence, Swipely has cracked the SMB market with a platform for helping local merchants better understand their customers and grow sales.
They raised $20M in a Series C round of financing in late May. The round was led by Pritzker Group Venture Capital along with existing investors First Round Capital, Index Ventures & Shasta Ventures.

DataXu Acquires JasperLabs
In April, DataXu acquired JasperLabs, the dynamic creative optimization (DCO) company.
DataXu is transforming the way companies build their brands in a digital world through the industry’s only fully integrated programmatic marketing solution. They have raised over $55M in funding.
LogMeIn Acquires Ionia Corp
LogMeIn, Inc. (Nasdaq:LOGM) acquired Ionia Corporation, a system integrator specializing in connected solutions.
The move is part of a larger strategy to accelerate LogMeIn's IoT opportunity by helping early customers of its Xively Cloud Services platform quickly go to market with their connected offerings.
