Company Overview

Our mission is to help people live safely without introducing any complexity, hassle or annoyance into their lives. For over a century, the alarm industry has been selling out-dated technology at highway-robbery prices. A common practice has been to scare customers into signing long-term contracts that are chock-a-block with fine print and provisos.

SimpliSafe was designed by our founder, Chad Laurans, with this principle in mind: Being Safe Should Be Simple. So he designed a system that is ridiculously easy to self-install, easy to purchase direct from us online, and doesn’t require a contract or a telephone line. It’s also wireless, cellular, and customizable...which means it works anywhere and will fit any house, apartment or business. SimpliSafe is ushering in a new era — one where anyone anywhere can have a security system that’s not only simple, but also on the cutting edge.

In early 2014, SimpliSafe partnered with leading venture capital fund Sequoia Capital which invested $57 million in the Company. SimpliSafe has grown very quickly in recent years, having serviced over 400,000 customers across the U.S.
