TiE Boston

TiE-Boston is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to foster and support entrepreneurship, either in a start-up context or within a larger company. The organization represents a diverse set of industries, including software and information technologies, biotech, financial services and other services.
TiE as a concept was born spontaneously when a handful of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs with roots in the Indian subcontinent met by chance in 1992. Out of that meeting came the idea of an organization that would bring together high achievers of the Indus region for the purpose of networking. From this simple concept, TiE has evolved into an active, vibrant organization with three objectives:
* To network and to facilitate networking among members;
* To foster entrepreneurship and to nurture entrepreneurs and
* To help membership integrate with the mainstream community.
TiE-Boston is based in Burlington,MA serving the New England Region and it shares the values and philosophy of the TiE Global organization. TiE Global has over 10,000 members in 42 chapters worldwide and as power of networking grows, the network gets larger.
