About You
You have:
- An exceptional portfolio, containing examples of
engaged communities, complex interaction/tools, and customer funnel engagement
- Excitement around our goal of making a
substantial and enduring difference to education and learning
- Experience designing consumer and/or teen-facing
applications (a plus)
- Good design sense and mastery of typography,
color, and layout
- Have an eye for detail that is specific, down to
the pixel
- Knowledge of best practices and tools used in
user-focused design
- Strong visual skills in producing comps, icons,
and other visual assets
- Ability to quickly experiment and iterate on
interface and interaction concepts
- Thorough understanding of user-centered design
and web standards
- Self-motivated with excellent presentation and
communication skills
- 3-5 years professional design experience in web
applications
- Intimate knowledge of Adobe Fireworks
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant design or
technology field
About the Role
You will work with the Product Team and Marketing Team to create progressive, inspiring, and relevant visual design solutions for both product and brand. The Visual Designer will have a proven narrative, conceptual and aesthetic talent and will be equally comfortable designing user interfaces for multiple devices, crafting compelling brand narratives and visualizing information across a wide range of domains.
You will:
- Drive intuitively simple, emotionally appealing,
and functionally impressive visual design in both our core product and
marketing materials.
- Contribute to a cross-functional Product Design
Team during the design process from research to delivery
- Collaborate with design team, product
management, and stakeholders on design requirements
- Promote design thinking and advocate design
principles and best practices
- Produce detailed style guides & other design
specifications
