Job Description

Sonian is hiring an experienced Sr. Ruby On Rails team-lead.  We are looking for a highly motivated, goal-oriented individual who will  be responsible for designing, building and maintaining our flagship UI.

Responsibilities
• Lead a global team of Rails developers
• Help develop a culture of remote pair programming
• Produce high quality, well-documented BDD code
• Design new features & improve existing ones in our RoR app
• Maintain our up-to-date RoR app with the latest Rails & BDD tools
• Deliver software iteratively every 2 weeks

Skills

• A "Lead by Example" attitude and skill-level
• Distributed source control experience with Git
• Deep knowledge of Ruby. Some Java experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated use of a recognized personal organization system
• Demonstrated & repeated success with a Ruby on Rails team as a lead developer
• Good understanding of Software as a Service and "white-labeled" Rails apps
• Bonus: Knowledgeable in email, IM, enterprise content and other document formats
• Must be US-based. Preference would be for candidates in the greater Boston area but we can be flexible for the right candidate.
