Position Overview
Endeca is seeking a Solution Engineer to join our Special Operations team! Situated between Sales, Marketing and Product Management, Special Operations is a cross-functional team responsible for developing cutting-edge product demonstrations and thought leadership prototypes that help fuel our expansion into new markets. Special Operations also interacts closely with the field Sales and Professional Services organizations to support complex technical engagements at strategic accounts. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a qualified candidate to work within a group of talented, highly-motivated individuals working specific projects to address challenging problems in the company.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for individuals with a strong background in computer science that can apply their technical and problem solving skills to strategic sales, marketing, and product opportunities. Solution Engineers leverage the latest Web and Mobile technologies (J2EE, .NET, SOA, AJAX, Android, and iPhone), along with enterprise ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) software, to build applications that apply the search, navigation, and analytical capabilities of Endeca's Information Access Platform.
The team also has a customer-facing aspect that demands creative thinkers who are not only able to design compelling uses of our technology, but also understand complex customer problems and subsequently present solutions to a variety of business and technical audiences.
Qualifications:
• 0-3 Years of web application experience
• Experience with JSP/J2EE, HTML, Javascript (jQuery a plus) and CSS
• Strong verbal, writing and communication skills are a plus
• Data, database and relational data modeling experience are strong pluses.
