At Attivio, the Solution Architects are the primary source of technical expertise for both the Attivio Sales team (OEM, Direct, and Channel) and prospective and current customers. The role requires deep technical knowledge and hands-on capabilities, problem solving skills, presentation ability, business understanding, and a passion to constantly learn and adapt new technologies and methodologies. The successful candidate will join the solution architects team in a fast paced environment with great growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• You will be a critical part of our sales team, functioning as a technical expert
• Work with other solution architects to deliver successful Proofs of Concept (POCs) on time
• Propose and design technical solutions tailored to clients needs, base on Attivio’s Active Intelligence Engine (AIE) platform
• Develop and deliver sales and product demonstrations
• Create and edit scopes of work for prototypes and POCs
• Provide technical support and training to clients and partners
• Provide technical and domain expertise throughout the sales process
• Achieve and surpass sales objectives, and work with others to ensure successful implementation of software solutions
• Relay client feedback and requirements to Product Management in the form of business requirement and use case documents
• Coordinate smooth transition of newly signed customers with Attivio’s Customer Delivery and Support teams

 

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar pre-sales, professional services, or software engineering role
• Excellent knowledge of Java
• Ability to work in a team and one-on-one with Attivio sales personnel

• Solid written, verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Exceptionally strong technical trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, result-driven environment
• A BS/BA in Computer Science is required
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

 

 

Ideal Abilities

• Knowledge or background in Enterprise Search and Data Integration technologies
• Comfort operating in Windows and Linux environments
• Experience developing, debugging, and testing in Eclipse
• Experience developing in .Net / VB
• Knowledge of another 3GL (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
• Experience integrating applications
• Experience developing RIA (Flex, GWT, .NET, etc.)
• Experience with databases, SQL, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions
