We Are Looking For

Moontoast is looking for a senior level user experience / interaction designer to join our product development team.  The ideal candidate has the ability to take high-level product objectives, and generate first class user interface designs in the form of wireframes.

What You Will Do

• Translate product requirements into first class user interface designs in the form of conceptual models, wireframes, screen mockups, and other specifications.
• Identify new opportunities; creatively translate existing products into solutions that meet market needs
• Create and maintain the internal standards, templates and processes necessary to ensure a consistent, unified, high-quality user experience across all products in the platform.
• Work with the development teams to ensure that the design specifications are properly incorporated into the final product.
• Conduct analysis of web analytics information to recommend user experience changes to optimize performance.
• Perform user research to develop personas, validate your concepts with the user base and conduct usability tests using your mockups, prototypes and live code 

 Requirements

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related field; Advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of UI Design and Usability evaluation experience specifically around web-based UIs.
• Experience using Agile to develop Internet products and technologies; comfortable with SCRUM and iterative development
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work collaboratively in diverse, cross-departmental teams.
• Requirements definition experience required.
• Use-case and persona creation experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial: flexible, optimistic, problem-solving approach to work.
• Samples of previous research and design strongly work preferred.
• Creative, imaginative, curious, with a sense of humor
• Ability to travel between offices

Relevant Experience

• Proven experience designing in one or more of the following applications: rich Internet application, mobile, Facebook, e-commerce.
• Demonstrated experience using web analytics to inform design decisions
