Senior UI Engineer

We are seeking a Senior UI Engineer who is highly motivated, dedicated, innovative, and has a track record of taking initiative. This individual must be capable of working in a fast-paced Agile environment, writing clean and solid code, working cooperatively with a multi-functional team, teaching and advising other engineers, participating in the design process with Product Managers, and assessing alternative solutions to problems. This individual will be a critical member of a small engineering team developing a highly scalable hosted high-transaction web application and will report to the CTO.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the overall architecture and design of Silverrail’s web UI for multiple travel-booking websites.
• Development of UI components, widgets and "site-lets" to be used in the construction of partner websites.
• Development of generic/white-label UI's that accommodate easy re-branding and re-skinning.
• Work cooperatively and help guide a team of onshore and offshore Web UI Developers.
• Interacting with the sales and consulting teams where appropriate to help win new customers and make existing customers successful with the software.

Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years of experience developing modern complex Web UI's.
• Deep experience with Javascript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, as used in the construction of rich, dynamic websites.
• Experience building a site with one or more modern Java Web UI Frameworks like JSF. GWT, Stripes, Struts, Tapestry, ExtJS, Wicket, Dojo Toolkit, JavaFX
• Experience with XML/XSD is highly desirable.
• Must have served as a Technical Lead on Web UI Development projects.
• Must have experience working in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity and/or experience with the following is a plus: Web Services, Hibernate, MySQL/Relational Databases, Adobe Flash/FLEX.
• BSCS or equivalent highly desirable
