Senior Software Engineer – Web Technology  (JavaScript)

Position Summary:

Verivo Software is looking for a Senior Software Engineer that is passionate about the convergence of web and mobile technologies.  You will work with our world-class product development team to ensure that Verivo’s mobility platform delights developers and exceeds the demands of enterprise-grade mobility. 

Key Responsibilities: 

The Senior Software Engineer will

• Design and build our next generation mobile web client and app server management console
• Deliver innovative platform extensions by way of a rich JavaScript API
• Partner with Scrum team members to deliver product increments in an iterative fashion
• Mentor team members on JavaScript and related web technologies
• Implement automated unit and integration tests in parallel with advancing our core product

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, or similar technical education
• 4+ years of commercial software engineering experience building complex, rich internet applications (RIAs)
• Demonstrated expertise with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript along with  frameworks such as jQuery, Backbone.js, node.js, Sencha, and PhoneGap
• 2+ years of hands-on development experience with data integration technologies including  REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON, and XML

• Experience building mobile applications is a strong plus

• Excellent object-oriented design and development skills
• Agile experience including Scrum and Test Driven Development
• Courage to fail fast, recover, and to ultimately deliver
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
