THE SKILLS

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Deep knowledge of Java, J2EE, within a Linux environment (key word time: hibernate, spring, algorithms)
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in commercial software development, solving complex problems
  • That said: rock star, but less years of experience? All that time you spent coding nights in high school and college count
  • A "maker" mentality - you love taking on problems with many moving parts, and aren't satisfied until you've shipped production ready code
  • Willingness to dive into many new technologies
  • Project/ tech lead experience is a plus
  • Ability to build and extend complex data models
  • Mindset for hard-nosed engineering is essential
  • Belief that code is art - you should love code. It should be your friend.

  • Able to talk intelligently (and, passionately) about the interesting challenges your projects presented
