EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy efficiency solutions, has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer to join our world-class Engineering organization.  Reporting to the Manager of Application Development, this position requires a broad knowledge of computer science and software engineering as well as diverse development principles.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops client tier and middle tier functionality, alongside other members of the software engineering team
• Primarily responsible for enhancing current functionality and developing new functionality, based on current and future needs
• Coordinates with QA to discover and resolve defects
• Authors and maintains technical specifications
• Works closely with engineers to deliver high quality energy information software to the entire organization
• Performs other duties as required
 
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience developing commercial application
• B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience with Java, J2EE, jUnit, TestNG, REST, BlazeDS, SOAP, and Maven
• Experience with Oracle CEP and/or Coherence, or equivalent relational database
• Experienced in the production of thorough documentation
• Ability to prioritize developmental and operational tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment
• Ability to work within changing deadlines/priorities
• Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently
 
Desired Qualifications:
• M.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience developing rich internet applications for a SaaS
• Experience using Eclipse, JBoss, Facelets, and JSF.
• Experience with any of the following: portlets, AJAX, Cognos ReportNet, EJB 3, Oracle, Hibernate, UNIX, Flash, HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with J2EE Application Servers
• Experience with: PL/SQL, Cognos, and/or related tools
• Experience on Agile/Scrum teams
• Knowledge and understanding of the energy market/domain, including the business needs of end-users
