TripAdvisor is seeking a smart, experienced, and highly motivated Sr. Product Manager to join our Partnerships Product Management team. Reporting to our Sr. Director, Product Management for TripAdvisor for Business, this position will focus primarily on our review collection business, and additionally support our brand distribution efforts. Review collection is a growing part of our business with a combination of self-service and licensed products.

The TripAdvisor for Business organization works as a separate business unit within TripAdvisor where our Product team leads the definition, design and implementation of high quality products that meet the needs of our business customers. Our small and growing team offers exciting growth opportunities to its product managers. We are responsible for any area of the business where we interact with hotel and other business owners that cater to travelers planning their trips on TripAdvisor. Our team collaborates closely with our Business Development team to gather insights from the field, do competitive analysis, and develop business cases for the products we build. We work closely with Engineering to develop flexible and scalable solutions to meet our business objectives. Products that we support include APIs, widgets and XML feeds used for brand distribution and content licensing, a suite of self-service listing management tools for owners, content badges and widgets, and a platform for review collection and syndication.

The candidate’s knowledge of online media and User Experience will help create robust and innovative products that support our mission to help travel related businesses around the world grow and thrive. The candidate will be an innovator who understands how to craft a vision, define products, and drive concepts from business requirements to launch. S/he will combine strategic and operational skills to enhance and grow our core product platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Leading large-scale new product development initiatives, including competitive and user research, business case development, scoping, and all phases of the product development lifecycle.
  • Leading cross-functional teams, serving as product and project manager, to define product specifications, establish milestones, and manage development and QA efforts
  • Identifying gaps in product functionality and B2B offerings, as well as assigning priority to key product areas for development
  • Driving product solutions that balance business needs, customer needs and technological capabilities
  • Communicating product status, key issues and launch plans to key constituents across the TripAdvisor organization including senior management as well as engineering, design, sales, PR, editorial and customer support teams
  • Measuring product performance and identification of key levers of improvement - including design and analysis of relevant reports
  • Monitoring the competitive landscape, leading relevant market, site and consumer research and recommending strategies for remaining competitive.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years experience in product management at a leading consumer internet company.
  • Experience with an accommodation booking system, GDS, CRS and or PMS system a plus.
  • BS/BA required, MBA desired
  • Strong project management experience, including successful management of new product launches
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, web services and the basics of SEO, and the ability to work closely with engineering
  • Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle and experience working in a rapid development environment
  • Experience working with business development or sales team in developing business requirements
  • Ability to develop and communicate product requirements to technical and non-technical staff
  • Organized, self-motivator who is detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization
