Position Description:
The foundation of our relationship with our customers is trust: we must be responsible stewards of the data they entrust us to store and protect. The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for evangelizing best security practices throughout the company, partnering with Product, Engineering, Customer Support and Legal teams to develop pragmatic implementations that serve to protect our customers' data as well as our corporate interests. He/She will design and deploy the necessary infrastructure and craft the requisite policies to achieve this goal. Further, he/she will validate the benefit of conformance with industry standards such as PCI, SOX, HIPPA, ISO 9001, SSAE 16, etc. and verify compliance if/when adopted.

Drive and document a secure, compliant architecture and culture via establishment of best practices, monitoring and education.

Responsibilities:

• Help build and maintain the mission critical Security Infrastructure within our production, development, office and remote user environments.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call incident response.
• Assist Operations Team with implementing and maintaining a secure production environment
• Develop and maintain security related policies and documentation.
• Configure, support and evaluate security tools including, but not limited to, firewalls, NIDS, HIDS, IPS, AV, NAC and Patch Deployment.
• Perform threat assessment and prioritize resources appropriately.
• Mentor junior team members.

The following skills and experience is desired of the successful candidate:

• 5-7 years relevant working experience with 2+ years’ experience in an Information Security Role
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience maintaining a Windows client/server environment
• Knowledge of Linux and OSX clients and servers
• Ability to clearly communicate and document complex concepts

Experience with the following technology is a plus. Specific vendors experience is not as important as hands-on experience & fundamental grasp of underlying technologies/concepts.

• CISSP or equivalent certification
• Experience with PCI compliance
• Experience with cryptography and encryption methods
