The Senior Accountant provides financial and administrative support to the Accounting Manager and International Controller by ensuring general ledger transactions are recorded in an efficient, timely and accurate manner for our international, multi-entity Company. This individual will be a key contributor to our small finance organization and should have a team-oriented and hands-on work style, willing to deal with tasks great or small, whatever it takes to get the job done.

 

Senior Accountant Job Duties:

  • Ensure a timely close of the general ledger including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses
  • Review work of other staff members for accuracy: accounts payable, credit cards, fixed assets, payroll and prepaids
  • Assist FP&A in the monthly review of financials with department heads
  • Provide timely assistance and guidance for most accounting requests
  • Serve as primary contact for employee stock option inquiries
  • Support team members as needed and serve as functional backup when necessary
  • Assist in the annual audit of the Company’s financial statements
  • Ad hoc tasks & projects as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 5+ years’ relevant accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems, preferably Intacct
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong work ethic with professional demeanor and attitude
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
