Our Senior QA Analyst plays key role in the engineering team, working in a dynamic, fast-paced, agile environment as part of FIS/Memento’s Risk, Fraud, and Compliance division, which develops industry-leading fraud detection solutions deployed at some of the world’s largest financial institutions. The candidate shall contribute to the testing of our award-winning Enterprise Fraud Management platform. As a key component of this position, the candidate will understand business use cases and develop manual and automated system-level tests - in order to identify defects, and ensure product quality.
The Senior QA Analyst will research customer and business information, and develop high-value, customer-focused, test cases. To accomplish these objectives, the candidate will develop deep domain expertise through strong relationships with customers, customer-facing teams, product managers, and engineers - as well as through self-directed/independent learning and research. Additionally, as a member of the agile team, the candidate will share responsibility for functional testing of new features and regression areas, as well as broader qualification efforts, such as: load and scalability, security, and performance benchmark testing.
As a senior member of the QA team, the candidate will also be responsible for supporting and leading broader quality initiatives involving other team members, such as: research, documentation, knowledge sharing and guidance to other team members. In support of our Engineering culture, the candidate must be a self-starter, able to work in a highly collaborative environment, accountable to the team for deliverables, and intensely focused on all aspects of quality. He or she must possess excellent investigative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Essential Functions
§ Review business requirements and develop customer-driven end-to-end (system) level tests - along with related test data
§ Develop domain expertise around Banking, Bank Fraud, and our fraud product offerings
§ Cultivate relationships and information channels across department and with customer teams
§ Investigate customer-reported issues - to support bug resolution and expanded test coverage
§ Execute functional and non-functional test cases in support of project deliverables
§ Create and update automated tests, within the existing MSTest/C# automation infrastructure
§ Define and create performance, load, and scalability tests in various product areas
§ Identify defects and quickly log detailed product bugs
§ Monitor, maintain, and report on existing automated test results
§ Provide leadership, guidance, and support to other team members - to include remote team members (based in India)
§ Plan and execute broader (longer-term/strategic) goals - driving testing breadth and depth, and innovating test methodologies in all areas
Skills and Experience
§ Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new products, technologies, and business/customer use cases
§ Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills across roles and departments, and able to build effective working relationships
§ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - with the ability to articulate complex information to various audiences
§ Exceptional analytical & problem-solving skills
§ Highly organized and detail oriented
§ Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as needed to reach team goals
§ Established strength in translating business requirements into high-value manual and automated tests
§ Possess a broad background in various areas of testing (functional, performance, scalability), and a well-rounded focus on all aspects of software quality
§ Demonstrable knowledge of Object Oriented Programming with: C#, C++, Java, or other
§ Understanding of banking systems and banking data is very advantageous
§ Exposure to Microsoft technologies very helpful: Windows Server2008, SharePoint (WSS/Moss), SQLServer, Team Foundation Server, Test Manager, .Net/C#
§ Familiarity with the Agile/SCRUM SDLC practices is very beneficial
· 6+ years Software QA experience testing enterprise applications
· A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
