Rent the Runway - the Netflix of haute couture, and one of NYC's fastest growing startups - to find a QA Lead. The QA Lead  will be responsible for developing and executing automated test plans. You will have the opportunity to join a young, dynamic, fast growing team dedicated to building a world-class organization at one of the fastest growing companies in NYC. We’re looking for somebody with a real passion for the software quality assurance process, who loves to break things and debug.

Responsibilities

Assume the lead in planning, developing methodologies, and implementing test script

Architect and set up automation testing, while creating long-term automation strategies to support agile development

  • Review and analyzes data quality and integrity
  • Manual cross-browser validation and testing, as well as automated testing with a frontend tool like Selenium
  • Test development and automation
  • Perform data validation, load testing and system integration
  • Create test plans and test cases
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation
  • Track data and create reports on quality assurance metrics on a regular basis
  • Ensure that all uncovered bugs have been resolved before software is deployed
  • Coordinate and review work of QA team
  • Document standards and best practices for quality assurance
  • Provide production support in case of emergencies
  • Collaborate with software engineers to produce a high quality final product

 Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in QA testing
  • 3+ years experience with Java
  • Frontend automation tool experience, Selenium preferred
  • API Automation testing with working experience on automation framework such as PHPUnit and/or JUnit
  • Experience in database such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused, ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and being able to multi-task on multiple products and projects.
  • Proficiency with open source automation frameworks
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both business and technical terms
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to prioritize complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in an e-commerce environment preferred
