Marketing Content Manager

We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and technically savvy person who loves creating marketing content and being on the front line. Your job will focus on research and writing of blogs, white papers, case studies, website content, press releases, marketing emails, and other communications. You will need to identify and research new ideas and angles and package them into effective written pieces. Because the products we make and markets we serve are complicated and ever-changing, you will need to quickly get up to speed and then keep your finger on the pulse of the industry.

Our team is lean, so you will also be involved with other marketing activities, including webinars, SEO, graphics and video, web design, print collateral, social media, marketing automation, and event planning. There will be some travel to industry conferences and events.

Must Have

• Passion for marketing, research, and writing
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Understanding of inbound marketing concepts
• Basic understanding of SEO
• Basic understanding of social media marketing
• Presentation skills and experience creating slide decks
• 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, or another field that involves lots of writing
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Have

• Experience with web design and HTML/CSS
• Proficiency with data crunching and Excel
• Experience with graphic design and Photoshop/Illustrator
• Technical writing skills
• Experience with SEM, Google Analytics, and Webmaster Tools
• Experience with email marketing
• Experience with marketing automation software
• Proficiency with video editing software

Location
Cambridge, MA – Porter Square, but we’re about to move to Alewife on the red line and on the Minuteman bikeway. Our new office building has lots of amenities, including a fitness center, mini Whole Foods, plenty of parking, and all sorts of indoor and outdoor games.
