Position Summary:

The Manager, Analytics will provide leadership and day to day supervision to the Analytics team.  He/she will also lead algorithmic design and provide technical oversight to team members engaged in the development, integration and implementation of ChoiceStream’s CONNECT product.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Drive solution architecture and collaborate with Product Development team on technical specifications for the CONNECT product
  • Recruit, mentor, motivate and manage a team of scientific analysts to ensure optimal performance and professional development
  • Review and prioritize internal and external requests for analytical consultation and provide day to day technical direction to the team
  • Lead development of automated decision tools and promote adoption across organization
  • Ensure business validation of solutions through collaboration with internal colleagues and customers
  • Provide consultation to team members and internal colleagues on product functionality, design models and make recommendations for modifications or enhancements
  • Oversee creation, implementation and evaluation of metrics to measure, monitor and improve business value of the ChoiceStream CONNECT product to the customer
  • Lead data management/exploration to recommender performance assessments/improvements to creative identification and estimation of preference-models and classification-schemes
  • Educate new hires as well as the overall organization on analytic capabilities of the ChoiceStream CONNECT product

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have expert technical knowledge and strong leadership skills. Flexibility, comfort with ambiguity and adaptability to changing priorities are also essential for success.  Qualifications include:

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics or related field required
  • Doctorate in Engineering Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics or related field, strongly desired
  • Three or more years of relevant post-graduate work experience in a business setting
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Successful track record in a customer facing role in a business setting
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical language to business terms, present information effectively, negotiate and influence others
  • Prior experience with statistical software programs such as STATA, SAS, SPSS or Minitab
  • Familiarity with regression model estimation and statistical techniques
  • Proficiency in logical, statistical and quantitative reasoning
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a practical, hands-on approach to solving business challenges through technology
  • Prior experience in a software development environment is preferred
