Overview
Panjiva is a venture-backed startup
developing a next-generation information service for the millions of
buyers and suppliers in the global supply chain. Founded by MIT and
Harvard alumni and located in Cambridge, MA, Panjiva's technical team is
creating the infrastructure that will transform how people and
companies trade $10 trillion of goods each year across global borders.
We’re funded by one of the world's top venture capital firms and the
same angel investors that have backed Skype, AdMob, Posterous, and many
other startups.
Our technical challenges are numerous: processing large amounts of
incredibly valuable, but incredibly dirty data from multilingual sources
around the world, leveraging machine learning and NLP techniques to
enrich our data collection, and making our findings available to
customers via intuitive user interfaces that support interactive,
real-time analysis of the global supply chain.
Our development environment is highly collaborative, where team
members teach as much as they learn. Our small team of MIT Computer
Science alumni cultivate a work environment where peers can appreciate
and challenge the solutions you develop. At this early stage, there is a
great opportunity for leadership in the shaping of Panjiva's core
architecture and its software engineering processes. We’re based in the
heart of Kendall Square, about 15 feet from the Red Line T stop.

We are seeking an

standards and appreciates front-end hacks that reduce load times and
respect semantics. This a diverse role – you’ll be working on the
user-facing product, back end administrative interfaces, and on
marketing-related activities to help turn our significant traffic base
into increased engagement and revenue.
