CoachUp is a marketplace that helps athletes achieve their full potential by connecting them with great private coaches. We are the nation's leading private coaching provider with over 7,000 private coaches in every sport, all across America. 

CoachUp is looking for a talented UX/UI designer who wants to be part of a small team going after a huge opportunity. As the Lead UX/UI designer, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering and management to help define the product vision, user experience, site flow and overall site feel. You will be responsible for sketching, wireframing and prototyping the user experience. You will transform these ideas into mockups for the engineering team and develop design components, as necessary. You will innovate and captivate by refining, evolving, and creating new features to improve the usability and functionality of our software applications. We're developing at a fast pace and are constantly iterating and pushing releases into production. There will never be a single boring day at CoachUp! 

Our ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years experience in UI/UX design and front-end development for consumer Web services
• Passion for Web/mobile product, UX and visual design
• Expertise with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
• Experience doing front-end development work in HTML and CSS (including HTML5). You’ll own the look and feel of the site and we move quickly, so being able to jump into the code and make things happen is a must.
• Hands-on experience developing with Ruby on Rails, jQuery, JavaScript and AJAX
• Experience designing mobile applications is preferred
• Ability to deliver cross-browser compatibility
• Experience in an Agile software development environment in a web context
• A thorough understanding of how business needs drive product features
• Demonstrated expertise with the entire software development life cycle
