Lead Rails Developer for Shiny New Startup

We're opening a new office in the Boston area in order to establish
and grow our engineering team. We're looking for a talented Lead Ruby on Rails (RoR)
Software Engineer who’s passionate about building software that will delight
our customers. Your contribution here will make a real difference.
What you'll do:
- Recruit and develop an internal team of engineers and
architects
- Direct the efforts of our contract development teams
- Own the technical roadmap and evolution of our
software platform
- Collaboratively design and build new features
- Develop functional prototypes that highlight new
design concepts
- Work with other teams to help integrate our products
- Collaborate with product managers, UI designers, and
outside experts to develop outstanding user experiences
- Review code and offer suggestions
- Seek out new technologies to better solve problems
- Take care to release quality, well-tested code
- Practice agile development methods
- Orchestrate and celebrate team successes
Requirements:
- Computer Science fundamentals: object-oriented
design, data structures, algorithm design
- Demonstrated expertise in current front-end
technologies including oR, JSON, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
- Proficiency in unit, functional, and user acceptance
testing
- Web services of all kinds, using cloud
infrastructure, building scalable web products
- Commitment
to transparency, collaboration, embracing change and iterative development
- Demonstrated ability to share knowledge, mentor, and
motivate others
- Genuine interest in helping those around you
continuously improve and succeed
Education and experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
experience
- Demonstrated experience in RoR software development
with proven track-record of delivering high-value, high-quality, business
solutions
