Lead iOS Engineer

The Lead iOS Engineer is an experienced software developer with a passion and talent for developing iOS applications. This role is the lead engineer for RunKeeper's iPhone application, which has millions of users around the world. In addition to being a great engineer and iPhone artisan, the right person has strong OO design experience, a UX-minded perspective, and love for all things Apple.

Responsibilities:

• Technical lead for RunKeeper's iOS development and execution
• Collaborate with product and UX teams to help shape our iOS strategy
• Harness iOS platform capabilities to create cutting edge health and fitness tracking using GPS and motion data
• Develop functionality to help drive more accountability and motivation so people can live healthier lives
• Keep up-to-date with the latest in iOS development practices and APIs

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in design and development of iOS mobile applications
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong understanding of Objective C and Cocoa
• Proven ability to optimize complex iOS apps for performance and stability
• Experience developing custom UI elements
• Web stacks and HTTP API experience
• Previous lead experience for iOS mobile app development is a plus
