EyeNetra.com, a leading mobile health diagnostics startup from the MIT Media Lab is seeking a Lead Android Developer to head its Android app development in Somerville, MA USA. We are backed by top tier Silicon Valley investors Khosla Ventures and Khosla Impact.

We need a star developer who has conceptualized and implemented highly intuitive UIs for android apps that have reached the market. Working closely with the founders (CEO + CTO), we will rely on you to lead in developing the core app for our award winning technology: the world’s first mobile eye testing device. The device is a mobile phone + hardware attachment combo, with a user experience that is highly interactive and visual, requiring slick design and implementation with several custom UI components -- this is a key challenge in making our device usable for the mass market. If we're successful, this device will enable access to eye prescriptions and eyeglasses for millions of people around the globe and change eye care forever. Think you are up for the task? YOU

• Star engineer who has built professional-grade android applications with a passion for great mobile user interfaces
• 5+ years work experience as a software engineer
• Deep understanding of Java development for Android devices, including networking (REST APIs) and building custom drawn UI components
• Excited to manage a small team of developers using agile methodologies as we grow
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with key team members for rapid iterations
• Excellent product and design sense. Be prepared to show off the amazing work you’ve created!
