Responsibilities:
- Develop robust web applications and services with standard development tools
- Help set up and maintain development, test and production environments
- Implement APIs and database schemas for new components
- Scale web services to support a growing customer base
- Apply industry best-practice software standards and technology to complex business problems
- Collaborate cross functionally to provide technical solutions to business needs
- Maintain clear documentation of processes and communicate task progress
Requirements:
Strong practical knowledge of PHP
preferably PHP5, and/or Java
Knowledge and experience in
Apache, MySQL, Linux
Minimal 3+ of professional
programming experiences preferably in web based environment
Knowledge in system design around
scalability is highly desirable
Understanding of third party
sites APIs and frameworks (Facebook, OpenSocial, Flickr, etc) a plus
Familiar with general Internet
technologies including HTML, REST, HTTP, CSS, sessions etc
Ability to work on a small team,
in a fast-paced start-up environment
Ability to handle multiple
concurrent activities and have a flexible, positive attitude
Excellent verbal, written and communication
skills is a must
Experience in an e-commerce
environment preferred
