Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for building up a strategic and pro-active HR/Talent Management function as well as managing the day-to-day HR activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate new HR processes and programs that are aligned with the company’s needs
  • Work with managers to determine how best to meet the training and development needs of employees 
  • Identify and implement fun team building and motivational activities to promote company culture 
  • Manage the onboarding, off-boarding & promotion process 
  • Conduct new employee orientation to foster company culture and positive attitude toward company goals 
  • Manage the annual performance reviews, goal setting and salary reviews 
  • Develop and maintain company procedures and policies as necessary 
  • Collaborate with management to proactively resolve employee relations and performance issues
  • Consult with Management on recruiting and talent best practices 
  • Identify and recruit skilled professionals for employment 
  • Recruiting passive candidates and maintain a network of potential candidates, aka “the bench” 
  • Manage job posting on our website and other websites (LinkedIn, Indeed etc.) 
  • Craft detailed job descriptions to drive organic applicants 
  • Develop and manage Intern/Co-op program with local colleges 
  • Grow relationships with partner programs (Start Up Institute, General Assembly etc.) 
  • Initiate new HR processes and programs that are aligned with the company’s needs
  • Help manage the onboarding, off-boarding & promotion process 
  • Conduct new employee orientation to foster company culture and positive attitude toward company goals

Qualifications:

  • Human resources and recruiting professional with at least 4 years of experience, preferably in a fast growing environment 
  • Hands-on HR/ Recruiting experience as well as strong planning and strategy skills 
  • Pleasant, trustworthy individual with great interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Detail oriented and a “can-do-it” attitude 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
