Sparkcloud discovers nearby people and activities, in real time, helping people feel the vibe of their local community. Our company is one month old. In that time, we've been selected for TechStars, raised a round of financing, and built out a web prototype: sparkcloud.net. (password: alpha version). We're launching in May, concurrently with an iPhone/iPad app.

We're looking to add a rockstar programmer/hacker/entrepreneur to the founding team. This person will be responsible for rapidly implementing new features, and re-writing a lot of hackish code… so that we'll scale when more then 3 people are using the site. (n+1 queries: bad!). You can also choose to work on some iPhone stuff, if you like.

Job requirements? There's no list of acronyms. Ideally, exposure to Rails and iPhone SDK... or the ability to quickly learn. Some machine learning experience is a plus. It also helps if you've already demonstrated your awesomeness by working on cool projects in the past. But most importantly: passion, self-motivation, agility, and a relentless drive to perfect the user experience. We're looking for people who want to make a real impact. Not drones.

This person will be paid with actual greenish pieces of paper ("US Dollars") that can be exchanged for other goods and services. Yes, real money! Additionally, a co-founder-worthy chunk of equity is available for the right person.
