Position Description

As DevOps Engineer you will lead all aspects of our system and network infrastructure design, capacity planning, and deployment. The position requires a strong customer focus, a proven track record of designing and maintaining highly reliable and scalable systems.

Responsibilities:

• Work with product team to help define solution to ensure scalability and availability
• Lead system and network infrastructure design, capacity planning, and deployment
• Install, configure, and manage virtual machine and storage resources
• Configure and test security, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery
• Provide cloud system administration, automation, and monitoring support with configuration, patching, backup, and alerts
• Respond to and resolve emergent service problems and build tools and automation to prevent problem recurrence
• Participate in software and system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning and demand forecasting

Requirements:

• BS/MS in computer science/related field or equivalent relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience in managing/administering highly available Linux systems and networks
• Strong experience with major cloud SaaS providers, preferably Amazon Web Services
• Experience in installing, configuring, and deploying application servers and database servers (RDBMS, NoSQL), especially MySQL, Cassandra and Vertica
• Fluent in shell scripts and extensive experience in developing modules and scripts to automate the application deployment and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of systems level security processes and tools

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in Java/JEE stack,  especially Spring/Hibernate environments
• Past experience in Continuous Integration environments, especially Hudson/Jenkins
• Experience with development intranets and , especially Confluence, Jira, and Google Apps
• Experience in working with Web applications development team in product operations, test, and deployment
