Data Specialist 

Principal Responsibilities:  While you will report directly to the Product Manager, you will work closely with the Product, Engineering and Analytics teams to manage our data source exploration and acquisition processes. Data sources are essential to our business model. It will be your responsibility to manage the exploration process for prospective data sources and the acquisition process for established data sources. You will play an important role by ensuring that the data sources we acquire are providing value to our clients. Further, you will influence our product roadmaps and the development of Kyruus’ client-facing offerings.

Specific Job Functions:

• Manage the data source acquisition process. Understand where each data source is in the pipeline process. Ensure that data sources are processed quickly.
• Approve data source acquisition requests, making sure that we optimize our data integration from each data source.
• Prioritize data source acquisition requests.
• Monitor when data source are updated and reacquire when necessary.
• Perform exploratory research/analysis to identify opportunities, evaluate use cases and determine the value of prospective data sources.
• Work with the QA team to implement and perform data QA processes
• Quickly and creatively solve data source problems when they arise

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree, preferably in a science-related or quantitative field
• 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry preferred
• Very comfortable working with data and with computers
• Basic SQL programming ability a plus
• Intangibles: Highly organized, highly responsible, self-starter enjoys problem solving, strong communication skills, proven attention to detail and works well in a team.
