Business Development - Strategic Partnerships

Summary
 
Our team’s goal is to drive the majority of LevelUp’s revenue in 2017. Did I mention we’re the newest division? It’s not going to happen without a seasoned business development professional. In our company, a BD team member needs to be able to source, nurture, and close deals, but also accurately represent our highly-technical product. Our BD team will be the guardians of what we’ve promised and making sure our product fulfills those needs. This role also has a major strategic element to it, in that we’ll also be forging partnerships that strengthen our platform long-term. This is far from your average new business sales role.
 

 

Responsibilities

    • Prospect and close new strategic partners, who will license the LevelUp platform
    • Build new and strengthen old partnerships that enhance the LevelUp ecosystem
    • Speak on behalf of our company at conferences and networking events
    • Travel to prospects and conferences
    • Negotiate licensing agreements
    • Gather and document feedback in a constructive way that enables LevelUp to prioritize features and product roadmap for white label apps

What we're looking for in you:

    • Comfortable speaking on a wide range of subject matter to a variety of professionals; topics to include engineering, finance, marketing, support, legal/contracting, and discussions with our executive team (i.e you may be BizDev but you’re far from just a business person)
    • Desire and aptitude to learn deep technical aspects of our product
    • Excellent communication skills. Impeccable written and verbal skills.
    • Undeniable public-speaking savvy.
    • Experience forging large strategic partnerships
    • Proven ability to understand multi-party problems, and negotiate an optimal relationship
    • Excellent organization and time management skills
    • Experience using the LevelUp App, Chase Pay, or a White-label app (ex. sweetgreen, Boloco, etc.)Engaging, charismatic, and driven
    • Comfortable working in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment
    • Can travel to prospects and conferences. Sorry, that’s probably Vegas at least once a year (Money 20/20), but it’s also San Fran at least quarterly!
