Title: Product Analyst

Reporting to the Manager of Business Analysis, will use business, analytical, technical and organizational skills to lead requirements definition for Rue La La e-commerce and system projects in an Agile development environment. The Product Analyst is a key liaison between the business owners, technology organization and other stakeholders for all project requirements and therefore must have incredibly strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas with technical and non-technical audiences. 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across departments including Project Management, Software Engineering, User Experience, Marketing, Operations and other Rue La La Business Units to define the objectives, success measures and requirements of Rue La La business initiatives
  • Work with business owners, marketing teams and usability experts to define, assess business value and prioritize the backlog of product requirements and acceptance criteria for e-commerce and system features
  • As a key member of the project team, must manage product requirements/user stories throughout the project, ensuring unambiguous and shared understanding of product features and acceptance criteria by all stakeholders and members of the core project team
  • Produce and maintain all documentation necessary to support the quality development and delivery of e-commerce and business system features, including personas, epics, stories and story maps, as well as other artifacts
  • Support Software Engineers during the Development phase of the SDLC working through issues and new user stories and use cases as they arise
  • Support QA and Rollout phase of the project by developing test cases, UAT plans, verifying acceptance criteria and providing training and training documentation as required
  • Help evolve the practices of business analysts to improve quality, efficiency and business value of all product feature releases

Hiring requirements:

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.  Ability to communicate with senior executives and other technical and non-technical, stakeholders from all areas of the business
  • 5 to 7 years of business analyst, product owner or product analyst experience in a SCRUM/agile software development environment that delivers enterprise scale software
  • Specific experience in retail operations, e-commerce and web development are major assets
  • High performer in a dynamic and high-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Expertise in analysis, elicitation, requirements analysis and ongoing requirements management. Ability to facilitate successful workshops and meetings
  • Expertise in traditional waterfall and Agile software development and project management methodologies
  • Broad-based knowledge of business information systems and processes. Applied knowledge of the SDLC and software development methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related technical field is preferred
  • Superb analytical skills with a detail oriented mindset
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple concurrent projects is required
